"Our 10 Night Irish Dream Vacation - April 2024"

We found Discovering Ireland Vacations in early 2022 while doing research. After reading all their reviews we were ready to learn more. We scheduled the 7 nights Irish Romance self-driving tour. Maria Lieb, mariaATdiscoveringirelandDOTcom, managed our trip from start to finish.

Ms. Lieb was very informative and knowledgeable. She provided us several options and recommendations.

We squeezed in a visit to Blarney castle and explored on our own every chance we got.

In addition to our travel package, we reserved 2 nights in Dublin before the trip and reserved 1 night in Dublin after our car return on the last day. We booked our flights separately - Round trip from IAD to Dublin. Without asking, Maria provided us a complementary Dublin travel guide which was great! She also arranged our rental car pickup and return at Dublin airport.

We had a wonderful experience exploring Ireland. This was thanks to Niamh at Discovering Ireland. She listened to our requirements and put together an Itinery that was perfect for us. "First trip to Ireland"

This was my first trip to Ireland, and it was everything I thought it would be. I booked the train excursion, and it was perfect; tickets were easy to pick up and our seats were reserved so we didn't have to look around for empty seats. We did have a driver who took us from Killarney to Galway and it was a great time. The driver was very informative and friendly, and we stopped at a couple of villages to explore. We wouldn't have had the opportunity to visit these places if we had used the train. Maria Lieb was our liaison with the tour company, and she did an excellent job. I told her what I was interested in, and she did her best to fulfill my wishes. Killarney was our favorite place; we took a carriage ride to Ross Castle. Galway being the least favorite, mainly because we just didn't have enough time. The two tours we were on were long, so there wasn't much time to explore the city of Galway.
I would definitely book another trip through 'Discovering Ireland Vacations' if I ever get a chance to visit Ireland again. Thank you, Maria, for a wonderful time.

Maria, was very helpful. We have never travelled to Ireland and only had 5 days. The itinerary she put together was great. We got a taste of everything from hotels, to B & B and even a castle stay.

We had a great time . The trip was well organised and followed what we wanted to do .The car pick up and drop off was easy . Our car came with a Navigator which made our trips much easier although it did insist on taking us off main roads and down some very narrow lanes that were very picturesque but a bit scary if we met another vehicle .
Our B and B’s were very comfortable and well located . Breakfasts were a highlight . From freshly made scones in Killarney to homemade soda bread in Galway and of course the black pudding everywhere , we were able to have a substantial start to each day. All of our hosts were helpful and enjoyed a chat !

Maria Lieb did a thoroughly outstanding job for us (twice this year!) in arranging our self-guided tours of Ireland's breathtaking Wild Atlantic Way. Maria always communicated promptly about all details in a pleasant and professional way. She understood our plans and wants and was diligent in helping us realize them. I can't think of a better way to properly recognize her and her first rate organization than to have her help arrange our next visit, which she's already been assured we will.

"A Trip to Ireland"

Ireland is a beautiful country and the people are very welcoming. Planning a trip can be overwhelming in deciding where to stay, what to do, and how to get around. It was great to have the details so well taken care of by Maria Lieb from IrishTourism. She was able to take our ideas about traveling on the Wild Atlantic Way and put a travel plan into place, complete with hotels, car rentals and a detailed itinerary. This left us with flexibility as to exactly what to do. The hotels were all very nice and comfortable and located in parts of the towns that were within walking distance from shops and restaurants. Also, the car rental was also arranged and it went smoothly. We were glad that we were told not to drive into Dublin with the rental car, but to take a cab instead as it was busier there than in the other towns we visited along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Maria was very easy to work and communicate with in our adventure.

The lodging exceeded our expectation. We weren’t sure what to expect but we’re pleasantly surprised.
All of the people we came in contact with we such a pleasure. Everyone was very helpful and sincere in making out trip special.
Maria, our travel agent, was there every step of the way. Any questions I had were answered quickly and professionally. From start to finish show was with us every step of the way.

From previous experience, I have found it helpful to use a travel agency 'in-country' as they possess that special knowledge.

So, after "googling" Ireland, I came across the Discovering Ireland website and checked out their self-drive tour packages. From my initial enquiry, their quick response and helpfulness in planning our holiday has been exceptional. Even when we had to cancel/defer our trip in 2020, Maria offered a credit for us to use in the future.

It was pleasing to note that when I contacted Discovering Ireland earlier this year, Maria was still there and assisted with the booking of our holiday in September 2023. This was a special trip as we originally had planned to travel the same dates for our 40th wedding anniversary in 2020 (which became our 43rd wedding anniversary in 2023) with a suite booked for us at The Green Hotel in Dublin.

Maria's detailed itinerary, special places to visit and the accommodation booked for us exceeded our expectations!
