I've been shopping at EE for years now and have never had any issues. My recent order came the other day and the figure set was missing a piece in the box (it was the manufacturer's fault). I decided to give EE a call and got Donald on the phone. He was a great help and very friendly to talk with. At the end of the day, the issue was resolved. Just another reason why I like to shop at EE...for the great customer service. Thanks again, Donald!

Called and spoke to Donald about a free shipping issue. He pleasantly explained how the situation happened, and then he suggested a way to remedy it. I took him up on his suggestion, and we were done. It would have been easy to simply say "No, I am sorry there is nothing I can do for you" but he did not. Thanks Donald!

"Schrodinger's pre-order"
Another week another canceled pre-order.
Over the past couple of months I have had multiple pre-order cancelations and now multiple items that, at the time of pre-order, were listed as shipping in November now all get pushed back to May or June. Others just put on "Backordered" which means maybe you'll get them but we have no idea. Which is more than a little irritating when you pre-order something. Even more so when it's sitting instock at other sites.
The customer service representative I spoke to informed me if I did cancel any orders I would be hit with a shipping charge for any instock items that were apart of the same order that have already shipped. That's pretty freaking lame.
So now I'm just looking at schrodinger's pre-order. Will it ship? Will it be delayed again? Will I get another cancelation email? Who knows! So far its been delay, delay, cancel.
I get that if they don't get it they can't ship it,but at least let someone cancel without penalty if it's outside of customer's control.
My advice is to just not pre-order from them. I know I won't be anymore if possible.

Awful. The only reason they even get two stars is because Veronica fixed an issue that the liar Erickson tried covering up. There's an ongoing coupon that gives you 10% off in-stock items. What they don't tell you is that some items are hidden behind "pre-order" status so that you can't use the coupon. Whether this is a glitch or human error one can't be sure. More than a couple times I've ordered items that were listed as "pre-order" and the next thing you know they're processing to be shipped out.
Annoyed at the latest instance of this gaffe I reached out to ask why I couldn't apply the in-stock coupon. I got Erickson, who gave me a load of nonsense stating the item I chose was some sort of promo item, which is is the most hair-brained excuse I've ever heard. So, it was in stock but still listed as "pre-order" and his excuse was that it was some promotional one-off or limited edition item that was not available for coupons.
I reached out again soon after and explained to Veronica and she assured me this was not the case and promptly credited me what would have been the discounted amount because it was indeed in stock.
Other instances of less than forthright practices includes them charging local taxes on items that one ordered long before they started assessing tax. You'd think their system would compensate for this but I guess they hope people overlook this. Sorry. If I ordered an item that costs over $200, meaning my tax would be over $20, and that was before the site required taxes be added-sorry, but you don't get to dock me money that wasn't initially part of my total.
It just comes off as being shady.
Some of the tactics this site utilizes are just not customer-friendly. I expect better.
Update: I don't want to hear excuses. Fix these issues so people can use the appropriate features, may it be "preorders" that should be listed as "in stock". It's deceiving. It disallows from being able to use Paypal, in-stock coupons, etc. All I got from that explanation was excuses for bad website design.
