I had a slight problem when my builder fitted the door and the mid rail on the stable door was slightly damaged.Grace at Solidor was fantastic and ordered a complete new mid rail for us and kept us informed throughout the whole process.I would definitely buy from Solidor again as I know that with people like Grace working for the company ,any problems would be sorted out satifactorly.Excellent company

"Same old story get out clause"

Same old story get out clause, company who fitted shut up shop gone bust, standard practise always get a good insurance backed warranty, otherwise none of it is worth the paper its no written on. Complained to Solidor sent two lots of pictures various emails got the run around. Then surprise surprise its wear and tear. Total Rubbish bad design no strength in lower door frame lip. DONT USE THIS COMPANY. Good at the spin not good when things go wrong. No point in contacting solider again, there reference is nonsense they have already said in a email nothing they will do my complaint has been declined, end of.

Its interesting that any 5 star review is for doors just fitted, all one star are for doors installed for a while but under Guarantee well supposedly. All the responses are requesting you contact Solidor so they can remove the post, no interest in Customers. Use at your Peril you have been warned.

"Poor quality, lack of quality control"

Purchased a Solidor front composite door just over a year ago, been nothing but a pain since it was fitted, the frame is square all round, level and plumb since it was installed always catches at the bottom, maxed out on adjustment from hinges not that there is barely any adjustment available anyway which is a poor design imo. Such a waste of money and we are already looking at a new front door. This company needs better quality control. Would not recommend.
Purchased via ModernUPVCWindows who have good reviews, wish I'd known they source there doors from here before hand.

I have had 3 doors fitted today, front, back and garage. It’s been such a transformation, I’m in love with how they look. Amazing quality, I feel so much more safer in my property and the communication was good throughout purchase and delivery process. Can’t recommend enough!

"A door that won't open is not a door"

We had a a Solidor door fitted 6 months ago and it started to stick soon after. Around the 6 month anniversary it closed completely and now won't open except when the outside temperature goes above 28 degrees and then only at the hottest point of the day. This despite being west facing and with some shade - why am I trying to justify this? It's an outdoor thing for goodness sake!
A spirit level check shows it is warped along the vertical. Currently it works about twice a week so not fit for purpose.

Our installer has contacted them and it is 6 weeks before they can get an engineer out to us to even look at it. We don't understand why they can't trust their authorised installers to inspect and report on faults if they can't employ enough engineers.

As with other reviews this door cost in excess of £2500 and is absolutely rubbish as is their concern for customers.

Absolutely would not recommend.

"Terrible from start to finish"

The doors are crap, they fall apart after a year or so! I have contacted them straight after installation because the glass shattered. The door was scratched and the letter box chrome is ruined. I have contacted them multiple times and they have taken no accountability. The contractor installed it has ignored my calls and messages. The company will not deal with me directly and only through the contractor. Personally it just feels like an excuse to fob it off. Poor quality product! Poor quality customer service. Stay Away from this company unless you love just throwing money away. 2.5K door and it’s utter garbage. I cannot stress it enough. Useless company and terrible product. UKs best doors is a total lie. 15 year guarantee but refuse to support
