"Appalling Customer Service From Solidor"
I went for a Solidor door after much due diligence from checking many other mfts front doors and believed I had made the correct choice.
After installation it became apparent that the online picture when ordering the door was different from the actual door itself in a significant way. Also after further inspection, which my son picked up later on, but was missed both myself and the fitters, the door had been damaged but had obviously been repaired to try and hide this!
I must say the suppliers were extremely helpful and full of apologies and whilst these problems weren't actually their fault, they gave a small refund as a gesture of goodwill and the damaged part was replaced within a couple of weeks.
On speaking to Solidor themselves it was a totally different story! The salesperson who I complained to was quite condescending and said he would pass on the comments re their online ordering showing doors being different from the actual doors themselves and said I should have looked at the actual photos of installed doors. Re the damage, he told me it was just a flaw in the door, which happens sometimes and asked me what I expected him to do as the suppliers were replacing it.
I told him it was not a flaw at all and it had been damaged at the solidor factory and someone had tried to hide the damage with a repair. He then said if it had been good repair and it was hard to see the repair what was I worried about! I couldn't actually believe what he had said to me and was furious. I informed that why in any way should I accept a repair on a brand new door, and would he accept damage to a car door that had been repaired and resprayed on a new car that he had just bought, to which he gave me no answer! There was no apology from him in respect of either matter!
Subsequently I sent an email to Solidor to request MD Joe Martocciu to contact me. To which I had a quick response advising that he was away on holiday until early September, but always views the emails and would no doubt contact me on his return, but have heard nothing.
Would not recommend Solidor to anyone, as whilst their actual doors appear to be quite good quality, if you have any faults, their after sales service is appalling and as they say, you only find out how good a Company is in how they handle complaints!

"Excellent Customer Service"
We were supplied faulty handles from our installer. After dealing with the local installer for 3 months just trying to obtain replacement handles I was at the end of my tether. Although I knew Solidor were trade suppliers, I rang them out of sheer desperation. I spoke to Steve who was extremely polite, helpful and empathised fully with my situation. After he had heard all about my ongoing saga he said that he would send me some handles directly. This was Friday, the handles arrived by courier on Monday. Thank you Steve. What excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Solidor.

"Outstanding service"
We recently had an issue and after contacting our local installers we still wasn't satisfied with what we had been told ,. so we got in touch with Solidor and with their concern and advice the matter was resolved within 24hrs . We can highly recommend Solidor as their service to us was ,friendly, understanding, efficient and very professional , definitely would not hesitate in using them again , Thank you Solidor.!

"Excellent Service"
We found the whole experience with Solidor excellent - from first using the on- line design service (which helped us to choose the door/ colour/extras we wanted to seeing the final product fitted.
The door looks excellent on the house and comes with added peace of mind that it is one of the most secure doors on the market.
We also contacted Steve at Solidor for advice on security locks and colours ( as wanted to buy exact colour matching paint for the garage doors ) and received first class support.

"You pay for quality."
I recently bought a Solidor through an independent manufacture, they did both Solidors and Grp foam doors. The difference in price was miniscule compared to the difference in quality.
But the biggest selling point was the 12 year guarantee on the solidoor, door and the locking strip, even the hinges, handles & letter box come with a FIVE YEAR guarantee, unlike the grp door that was 12 months on all mechanical parts.
So for a couple of hundred pounds more you get a lot more piece of mind.

"Solidor - Replacement Door Knocker"
I arrived home to find our door knocker on the floor with the 2 plastic fixing threads sheared clean off.
1 e-mail to the Solidor sales team asking for advice as to how I could refix the knocker, resulted in a new knocker and fixings being received 2 days later. An excellent service.

"Solidor Composite Doors"
We had a couple of Solider Composite doors fitted initially however the person who fit them was not a Solider approved fitter.
We had a number off issues with these doors. Thank you Solider as you agreed to replace the doors under warranty. The only proviso was we had to use a Solider Approved fitter to fit these doors.
We have just had our new doors fitted and are very please with the doors they open and close very easily and look great. The Solider approved company who fit them Pro-Fit Northern Ltd Guiseley (01943 874898) gave us excellent service as well. They kept us informed throughout the process of the doors being remade.
The moral of story is use a Solider Approved fitter to install these doors.
Thanks again Solidor and Pro-Fit Northern for sorting out these doors. My wife is much happier now opening and closing the doors.

"New Door"
Really looked forward to our (very expensive) totally bespoke door to arrive, However.....
1. On the day of delivery we were informed it was late and did not arrive
2. Wrong specification to that ordered (it was supposed to be bespoke and to our specification) not any spec they fancy!
3. Parts missing so could not finished
Solidor would not help at all - after weeks of my chasing and eventually threatening court action I received some parts in the post and had to fit them myself!
After 4 months parts are now rusting but I haven't the energy to try and resolve it.

"Terrible Customer Service"
Telephoned Solidor seeking information about door ranges - not even exact prices but just broad idea of price differences between ranges. The (so called) Customer Services representative Steve refused to discuss any matter about price, even in the broadest terms. Certainly now, if Company are so opaque at this level of Customer Services it warns one off having any dealings with them. I shall take my business, and the purchase of four doors, elsewhere.

"Unbelievable"
The door was supplied late, incomplete, arrived with cheaper handles than the ones ordered,
Solidor really do not help, they just ignore you, despite it being their fault.
Overall the door feels quite cheap and not worth the £2,000 I have seen a lot better ones for less money
