"Great value for money for a solid door"

Pardon the pun but this really is a great solid door. I think you can always feel a nicely crafted front door as soon as you push it it open and we definitely felt this with Solidor when we were researching front door suppliers. They have a great range of colours and accessories so we were able to have EXACTlY what we wanted. I would highly recommend!!

"In love with our new front door!"

Brilliant quality with an excellent range of designs and colours. We went for the Ludlow 2 in Painswick, with Victorian glass and chrome fittings. I never thought I could be so happy about a new front door, but this has totally blown my expectations of composite doors out of the water. Would fully recommend Solidor to anyone looking for a new door!

Very disappointed that the door handles I'd ordered with my stable door were not available in the new catalogue. But I was only told this by the company which ordered & fitted my door after it arrived on site.

"We purchased two Solidor's in Oct 2 …"

We purchased two Solidor's in Oct 2014, via Gemini Windows in Telford. One Ludlow door and one Beeston. The Ludlow door is great and we have had no trouble at all with that door. these where all ok until April 2016. The second door started to delaminate on the bottom (right) of the opening side, (left hung door), when view from the outside. I contacted Gemini (who in the mean time had been purchased by the Camden group). They contacted Swift, the frame and door supply who then contacted Solidor. A replacement door was fitted in March 2016. What a chain. Full marks to Camden in honouring the supply, (they do not deal with Solidor). Swift for the same. Solidor for the without fuzz replacement. Please note that your supplier may provided you with a cheaper frame from elsewhere. What also gets me concerned is that do installers get other components fitted from other suppliers. Therefore question what your are getting from who! I am on the move to a new home soon and am looking at a number of front door manufacturers. Solidor, MasterdorBenchmark, etc. One comment that is present in all is the lack of comms from the installers. The installers inability to deal with issue in a timely manner. They are the ones we have the contract with no Solidor. So Solidor sort your installer out. I am in contact with a number of installers for the new house including your 'premium' installers and they all need to up there game. I suggest to chase the customer contact via the installers and contact the customers to confirm there experiences for them to gin the premium status.

"Great quality, but on going problem with doors dropping"

Had 2 doors a few months now, great quality product. Only problem I've found is they constantly drop, had the fitters out twice now, but dropped again. From what i saw and what the fitter told me, these doors don't have any form of adjustment, you just unscrew the screws in the hinge, re-align the door and screw back up. The door then drops again over a month or so and you have to call them again to come out. I think i'm going to adjust them myself this time, as I need to know how to do it as stated by "the repair man" it's a design issue. Apart from that very nice, just a shame let down by not having easy adjustment screws as most doors I've had in the past.

"New frontdoor"

Had my new front door installed 3 months ago and wanted to wait a bit before posting a review. I'm very happy with the door it looks great and has had alot of compliments, and it functions well - get significantly less noise from the street now and the hallway is warmer. The only problem i have is that the key sticks a bit at times when unlocking the door.

I had an excellent experience start to finish with the selection of the door, the ordering and then the installation. Would definitely recommend.

"Excellent product"

We had our new front door fitted last week. It's good to look at and the matching side panel really sets it off. The workmanship is excellent. Very pleased with it. It was useful to be able to design our own door on the website first.

"Disappointed"

Door looks brilliant, however shortly after fitting started having problems locking the door at night when temperature dropped. During the day there were no problems at all. Also during heavy rain a small pool of water would form on the floor of my hallway. I contacted the installers which are Everglade of Neath and they promptly came out to investigate! As suspected they said that the door was warped and would need to be replaced. The water was entering my hallway from two areas around the letterbox.
This was over five weeks ago which was to timescale stipulated to replace and to date I have heard not a thing with regards to a replacement door. It is now time to start contacting people but am disappointed by whole experience. I have two other doors which need replacing and have been holding off until my front door has been resolved and waiting to see what the customer service was like. Not overwhelmed so far but hopefully will be resolved soon!!!!!😥

"Solidor 'Stafford'"

The door was fitted correctly, it started leaking the same day and soaked the carpet. The sealing between the glass panel and the door frame was poor. In addition the sealant down the left hand side was shoddy and protruding. Solidor contacted me quickly and made a prompt appointment. The engineer PAUL was excellent. He called to let me know arrival time and completely stripped down the door and replaced the seals. He explained careful what he was doing. He was polite, professional and meticulous. I think you need to ensure products leaving your factory are well finished - this one seems to have slipped through the net!
