"Very poor quality door, water leaking in everywhere."

Bought a solidor from a local approved company to myself. Door was not fitted correctly in the first instance. Had the company out to sort it out but still not correct. Frame has been installed twisted so does not close properly and can feel the wind coming through. Worse was to come however. Its 8.15pm on October 21st. Raining outside and i have a flooded hallway where the water is coming in through every crack and crivice in the door. This is not down to just the fitting however. The bulk of the water is actually coming in through the beading around the panes of glass and through where the letterbox has been fitted. Not through the letterbox but from the edges around the cut out for it. How can a company charge so much for something that is totally sub standard and cannot keep the elements out whilst touting themselves to be the best on the market. The door looks pretty but thats it. Now i have a load of water damage in my hallway due to a poorly manufactured and poorly fitted product. If anyone would like to view the footage i taken then i would be more than happy to supply it. The door is quite clearly rubbish. Cost me around £1400 as well. Not great at all. Will be taking this matter further. Be advised and stay away from this company.

We went for a black design with the 3 diamonds down the middle. We moved in our new home a year ago and really needed a new front door. The design looks amazing with out new build home. Not only is it modern and looks fab but it makes us feel safe knowing how strong the lock system is. Not only is it beautiful to look at but knowing how secure the door is makes it a winner, when you think of secure you think of a big ugly thing but the reality couldn't be any more different! The variety of choice means you can have a beautiful door designed to your spec with the high level security, couldn't recommend it enough!

"Top Company, Top People, Top Product"

We renovated a mid 50's bungalow in 2015 and used Rayleigh Glass to install all the windows and doors. The front door we chose was from Solidor. We liked the look and the options/combinations were more than enough for us (and believe me when I say we are fussy!). Everything was fitted in July '15 and straight away we could see the Solidor quality was far superior to the rest of the install. Our snagging list was quite extensive on the windows but the front door was great.

It did develop a fault with the latch which Rayleigh Glass made three attempts to correct but failed every time. I finally lost patience with them and contacted Solidor direct via twitter (they are very active on that platform and will reply to you). Within 10 days they had an engineer in site and the problem was fixed in 45 minutes. We were told (by Rayleigh Glass) we'd have to wait 'months' for them to be available but I proved that is not the case.

Lucy on Twitter and Stephen the engineer were both excellent. They were knowledgeable and very informative. I only wish I'd contacted them sooner.

Their doors are amazingly well constructed and finished and if there is an issue (yes, even the best products can have issues) they are quick to resolve it.

If you're in the market for a new door I'd recommend Solidor every time.

"Beautiful door ......but!!!"

I love the door, looks great solid....... But the lock/ mechanism keeps going wrong, I have had to have them out to it for a second time yesterday. The first time the door had been fitted wrong by the door company and Solidor had to come out and re hang it, less than 3 months later the lock has gone faulty again. The engineer now tells us we have to make sure we turn the key twice to ensure the locks at the top and bottom retract back in ???? I don't agree with this and feel once we turn the key they should go back independently first time for such and expensive door , and supposedly the best door mechanism ??? I gave them 4 stars because they have come out to it with no problem BUT I am very DISSAPOINTED with the locking system.
