I requested a quote/details from Solidor but heard nothing. No contact and no information. I was a genuine purchaser and have since made my purchase. I am only glad that I found a company who did have 'existent' customer service who worked with me throughout

"Good quality door, customer service needs improvement"
I recently ordered a Solidor, which will be installed in a few days. It took me several weeks to make the decision, because even though I heard good things about the quality of the door, other people, including a very well-respected local dealer who has stopped selling Solidor, had told me to stay away from them because of loads of problems. Upon further investigation, it turns out it's not the quality of the doors that is the problem; it is Solidor's service to their installers. I also had an issue selecting the colour. I initially chose a 'standard' colour, but when I asked for samples of that along with 2 'premium' colours, it was clear that the premium colours had a more authentic woodgrain finish. I spoke with 2 different people at Solidor who insisted all colours had the same finish, but when I visited the dealer I finally ordered the door from, they confirmed that I was correct. It's a bit worrying that I as a new customer know more about the finish of the door than Solidor's staff do!! I'm very happy with the dealer I chose, and also believe I will be getting a very good quality door installed next week - fingers crossed I'm right!

Requested quote, received automated reply. But no follow up. No one bothered to contact to quote. Not a peep!

"Bad at responding"
I emailed a few months a go requesting for a quote on a door. I had an email back acknowledging my email. I have never heard anything back since. Therefore i will take my custom else where. Seen as i had an email requesting a review i gathered i would respond seen as i never do. Quite disappointed at the lack of service i have received.

We found the Solidor design tool really useful in helping us to choose all the elements of our new door. Now fitted, it has totally transformed the look of the house, and it has been greatly admired by friends and neighbours. It is also much more secure than our previous door, which is reassuring.

"Very high quality doors"
Very pleased with our 3 new Solidors, look great and are truly excellent quality, very impressed. I've had a composite door fitted in the past, but these are so much better - thick, solid and very well made. And a pretty good price too - good price to quality ratio. Can you tell I'm impressed? :-)

Regrettably, after receiving an email from Solidor that I would be contacted by a local installer, to quote for a new door, we are still waiting.......6 weeks later. Not too impressed and gone elsewhere

I'd of given 0 if there was an option.
I made my lengthy enquiry online and got no response, I chased up (twice) and eventually got a response to contact a local supplier. I asked what happened to my online quote but just heard that I had to chase the local supplier (the online quote wasn't working or lost or something like that).
Suffice to say I canned this as I figured they didn't need my business and went elsewhere.

"This might be a great product..."
...but unfortunately they were unable to manufacture the door and 2 side panels to fit, because the width of the door frame is much wider than the current one, it would overlap the side panels. The design tool was great, and the service from their installer (Abbey Windows) has been fine, but the doors and panels we ordered cannot be made apparently. We're looking for alternatives now.
