"Local supplier letdown, Solidor rectified it"
Edit: After posting this review solidor contacted me, were very helpful and apologetic, said they were investigating why the original local supplier did not contact me and passed me on to another local supplier who has been great so far. I have therefore changed my review from 1 to 4 stars.
I designed a door over three weeks ago and was told someone local would phone to talk about installation, cost etc but I have not heard anything. I tried emailing asking for a call back but still nothing. Safe to say I will be spending my money elsewhere!

"Door warped due to the solid wood frame design"
Had this door fitted & after a few months we noticed it was badly warped, top & bottom. Which also lets in water.
Solidor have now been in contact & are coming round for a site inspection. Will update conclusion
After Solidor coming down to look at the door in question, & completing their report regarding the door. Also calling me to discuss the door.
Telling me that the door was not warped, but actually the frame was bowed, & not fitted properly. This Is complete rubbish & more Lies from a company thats not willing to fix their problem. My Festool track saw Straight edge rail says different. The door is defiantly warped which you can even see if you look down the edge the door. They know the door is pulling outwards at the top & bottom. So stated in this report that when fitting the frame, it should be packed out by 2mm by the lock, in the middle of the door. which really is unlikely when It has a steel post running through the frame. Another reason why the frame is perfectly straight & not warped as Solidor state.For 6 months, my fitters tried to get them to come out to do a site visit. as they were Not coming up with any solutions on how to reverse the problem & stop draft or even rain coming through. Waste of time them doing a report, as it's just to show they are not at fault. I've taken my own picture that show the door is actually warped & the frame is plumb & sent this to Solidor, with No reply. Its taken them bad feedback on trust pilot to contact me, after refusing to come out to do a site visit at the beginning, which they did, when the window company asked them to. As no adjustment to counteract the warping of the door can be made. So looks like I'm stuck with their warped door. As not willing to sort it out.

I’m really disappointed, so much for quality control, the door came with parts missing, no locator at the top of the door, the door fitter couldn’t open the door as a result, you would think they would check this before sending, very shoddy.
When I called they really weren’t bothered, not what I’d expect from an expensive door.
Thank you for organising the replacement part so quickly, once it’s been done I’ll amend the review…..

My husband has just this minute had a conversation with Steve at Solidor and I am really happy to say it has now been delivered to the installers. It sounds as if there was a breakdown in communication somewhere but that is happily now resolved and we are really looking forward to getting the door fitted.
I am sorry to say our experience so far has not been good. We ordered a new door via our local window centre almost 12 weeks ago and have had the fitting cancelled three times now because you had not delivered the door as promised three times. Only now are you saying that the hold up is due to a shortage of glass and the door therefore hasn’t been made. Further you can not give our installers a date when it will be made. I appreciate that there is a nationwide issue with glass but why are you promising dates for delivery when you have not even made the door yet. The money we have paid for this door was not easy to come by and your service so far has been appalling to say the least. Our installers have struggled to get any response and we feel really let down.

Really pleased with our new door, very stylish and delivered to our specification. Great range of colours to choose from, chose Chartwell Green which is a great colour. Excellent and speedy service from customer service when ordering an extra key and responding to query about paint matching.

I contacted Solidor regarding a couple of minor parts on my stable door that had perished, slightly too thin material used I think. I got a quick response, very helpful customer service, new parts being sent. Just have to fit when they arrive. Top service! *****
UPDATE 1/2/22
Promised a lot but delivered nothing. Initially very good promised to help but nothing ever arrived. Chased several times to no avail.
Ball in your court Solidor if you care at all to resolve?

"Great customer service"
Great customer service, just moved into new home and noticed a piece of trim missing. Rather than go through the mill with the builder I contacted direct and they sent the piece out free of charge. Regarding the door itself the quality and finish is fantastic.
