Following a issue with a door seal, I contacted Solidor explaining the issue and hopefully looking for some guidance / assistance.
Well I didn’t need to be worried as the Customer Service I received was absolutely fantastic, nothing too much trouble. All please accept this review, that this is a great company to do business with. Great Customer Service. Thank you to Grace and all at Solidor.

"Excellant supplier, and after sales service second to none"

We have been the Isle of Mans Solidor recommended installers for six or more years now and have had nothing but excellent service from all the team at Solidor. When founding the company we decided that we would only supply an install top quality products for our customers - as someone that has been in the trade for over thirty five years when it came to choosing a composite door supplier it was plainly obvious there was only one company to choose. The many choices of styles, glazing designes, colours and build quality can not be matched by other manufacturers.
In honesty I have had customers query me about some of the bad reviews on here - and as i pointed out to them in most cases it was a bad installation by a non recommended installer that caused the issue NOT the Solidor - only recommended installers can give a full Solidor backed guarantee (to be fair we have had very few if any issues with any Solidor we have had delivered to us - earing in mind our doors have to be shipped to the Isle of Man- and any slight knocks/ issues caused by hauliers is always sorted immediately by Solidor. Grace is a shining star and nothing is too much trouble for her. the door designer tool is such a brilliant device and helps all of our customers to choose their perfect doors.

"Unfinished Business"

the door is excellent quality and was expertly installed, however the installation was never completed. The fitter explained that the trim in the appropriate colour would be fitted at a later date, however this has not ocurred and no amount of calls or e-mails have elicited a response by all means buy a Solidor door but avoid Unique Developments of Abingdon at all costs

"Absolutely stunning"

Absolutely stunning and high quality product. It has completely transformed the look of our home both internally and externally. We have opted for the Edinburgh in French Grey along with two glass side panels. Its really opened up our hallway with the natural light it lets in and we get loads of lovely comments from our neighbours. Very happy with our purchase and would 100% recommend.

"Either extremely arrogant or totally incompetent"

Please please save your self a lot of headaches and costs and choose an alternative company that offers a better class, more reliable product for less money. My stable door was fitted in January and am now on my 3rd faulty window cartridge, all having had differing faults. Given the price you would expect a premium product and if you write to the company then you would expect a reply, but this is not the way Solidor operate, they just completely ignore you and hope you will go away, even when images and dialogue is on social media, they ignore it. ( The email was submitted in May and no reply) The short comings of the company can now be seen by the number of recent reviews on review platforms. There are other products available. I will continue to update this as the process continues to get the matter resolved.
Update 2/8 I have sent the information to Trustpilot so my review is now VERIFIED after yourselves contacting them after my first review suggesting my submission might not be from a genuine customer. You received an email to Liz Gittins on the 18th May but choose not to reply to it. I have also contacted you on numerous occasions via social media but again sadly you choose to ignore all those as well hence my Trustpilot review which surprise surprise you reply to immediately. Since my posting last week I would also confirm now the level lock does not work so the door does not close. So in summary I have now had 4 window cartridges fitted, three which needed replacing and now a faulty lock, all in the space of 6 months. (The door has been a fault with the door since installation) Maybe you could take a look at your records and take the time to contact me.
Update 3/8 You really couldn’t make this up, the fourth integral blind fitted last Friday, having been 100% inspected by Solidor and accompanied by video proof of the inspection, in fact does not close fully shut with a gap big enough between the door and the blind for people to look in/out so no privacy at all, so much for quality control! It really would have been great if Solidor had reached out months ago to try protect their reputation. I hope anybody reading this saves their money, and if you have just placed an order please cancel it within 14 days.

"Superb post-sales support"

We bought a Solidor back in 2016 and it still looks great today. Unfortunately, our supplier went bust during the Pandemic so we had nobody to turn to when our locking mechanism started malfunctioning. Solidor's technical support offered to help by sending an engineer out to see us. Superb post-sales support given we bought this door nearly 5 years ago!
