I love my new Solidor front door fitted this morning and time will tell if I have any problems.
I have had issues with the fitting company and Andy at Solidor has been extremely helpful.
Will review again if there are any problems.

"16 months of absolute rubbish"
I am fed up now of leaving one star reviews in order to try and get someone to resolve an issue that has been going backwards and forwards for 16 months!!
When you have a problem, Solidor throw their +\-5mm tolerance (and yes you are reading that right ) blame the installer, and then do nothing to help
I have a very expensive door that is utter rubbish, and all I get is a big standard response on Trustpilot so it appears that my issue is being taken seriously when it is not
If I could give a zero I would based upon the product and the aftercare / service you never seem to get
FYI even the installer does not know how to do what Solidor say needs doing so they and I are at a total loss !!!!

02/12/21 - i've just chased Solidor for a follow-up, not heard from them for nearly two weeks now.
19/11/21 - Had the response below from Solidor, to be clear, I don't believe this is a fitting problem.
I've copied their reference below into the email chain I already have going from my installer to Solidor.
Let's see where we get to.
18/11/2021 We purchased a side door and front door (with side window panel) but have had months of on-going discussions about problems with our installer.
We have tried to talk directly to Solidor, but they've refused and only want to speak through the installer.
Problems:
(1) lock mechanism needing to be replaced
(2) Glass design. Park Lane Bespoke. Design is not symmetrical and looks like it's slanted. The installer managed to angle the window to reduce the slant, but no willingness to discuss or recognise the issue.
Instead, they feel it's too picky, and while i accept if you're just glancing at it, it may not bother you, but if you look at it every day (after you've noticed it), you can't un-notice it.
For the price, i'd expect better products and service.

It's a difficult time at the moment for all manufacturers with exceptionally high demand and supply issues out of everyone's control. Regardless of all this, Grace Mullock has always helped us out and is always very reliable. It's great to have someone you can count on! So thank you Grace for everything, you're a credit to Solidor.

Update as of 15th Nov.
I have now been advised by Solidor that the side panels required to complete my new front door installation will be delivered to my installers distributor on the 22nd of this month. The distributor will then need to send them to my install. I don't know why they can't send them directly? Holding my breath that the end is now in sight.

Update as of 9th Nov.
I am pleased to say that following my last note Solidor Customer Services did get in touch with me, within an hour of my post. They have assured my that they are now processing my side panels and all being well will be delivered to my installer this week. I Have left my rating unchanged pending actual delivery and I will provide a final review following installation.
Update as of 5th Nov.
The week before last I published my review of Solidor in respect of my attempts to get in touch with Solidor Customer Services. I received a quick response but as you may see this is teh exact same response they send to everyone which basically asks you to confirm you contact details and they will arrange someone to contact you ASAP. The outcome so far is NOTHING, NADA. This is now 8 weeks following my original installation and I haven't been able to get any response. CAN I REPEAT, CAN SOMEONE AT Solidor PLEASE get in touch.

I chose to purchase the Solidor product based on reviews and recommendations seen on the internet. You are required to use and order through a local installer. The installer by the way was well recommended and I cannot fault his quality of work nor support. The set up is not cheap as it is a door + 1/2 Door and 2 matching side panels. When the installer came to fit the doors he acknowledged that that the order from Solidor had not been fulfilled correctly, no matching side panels had been supplied and he would have to fit normal glass panes in lieu until the correct panels were supplied. That was 6 weeks ago. The installer has been most apologetic and thanked me for my patience. My patience finally ran out last week so I requested my installer supply Solidor Customer Service contact details. At this point I found out that my installer had used a Solidor trade distributor (Lister Solidor). Nothing wrong with that so I contacted their Customer Services. They advised me I should speak with my installer. They did however say the problem was with Solider and they were waiting for a response from them and teh y let my installer know soon as.. I decided then to contact Solidor directly. When you go on Solidor's website there is no reference or contact details for Customer Services. They have a sales no which I have tried several times. You are redirected to the website else if you hang on the line you are bumped of after a couple of minutes. At this point all I would like is for someone at Solider Customer Services to contact me and tell me when I am going to get my supply panels.

"Cracked door"
So this review is based upon this experience of which the window company that did our doors went bust. I contacted solidor and they said it wasn’t up to them to sort it. I explained that company went bust and as a good will gester they would replace it. It took a while but true to there word they did but only the door itself not the handle/letterbox or glass. The joiner noticed that it had been leaking through all the silver items and that they had made some adjustments on the new door. Water had been getting in and made them rusty. It would of been easier if all the parts would have been replaced as it was a pain getting the glass out. I did get it replaced and I am grateful for that. So thank you Grace for that. But at the end of the day this is your product that you designed to be waterproof,safe,strong and to last and should be your duty to do this. To be proud of a product you have made. The customer always comes first and shouldn’t be out of pocket as it wasn’t there fault.

UPDATE. Solidor have now been in touch over the last week and a reasonable solution to our problem has been agreed, when this has been resolved I will update my original review.

3 Reasons why not to buy a Solidor!
I bought 2 Composite Doors from Solidor. A Front door and a Side door.
I was fairly happy with them for the first 2 years.
Then I noticed that the outer skin on BOTH Doors had Cracked and these were then replaced.
Now I have issues with the replacement, where the outer skin is coming away from the main core.
If you are paying £1000+ per door you do not expect to be having these issues on what is now 3 Doors.
If you are considering buying a Composite Door from Solidor please read the reviews carefully on those Reviewers that have had their Doors more than 1+ years, as the Doors tend to fail with time.

"Unhelpful, Until...."
Had a new Solidor Door fitted with Ultion Locking system back in 2019. Very pleased at first with the door, until I noticed only 8 months after the door had been fitted by our Installer that the locking mechanism that runs through the centre of the door looked like it was becoming pitted. Over a few of months it got a lot worse. In Jan I contacted my Installer to get them to look at it and by then it was extremely pitted and starting to go rusty. I have chased my Installer over the last 10 months about this and they have informed me that whilst continuing in talks with Solidor, Solidor refuse to do anything about it as they feel it doesn't affect the locking and is not considered a manufacturing fault and won't replace it. They even asked my Installer if I lived near the Coast, and the saltwater may have contributed, but of course I don't, I live in a town on the outskirts of London. So Solidor won't change it and subsequently my Installer won't change it either. So here we are in late 2021, the door is now nearly 2 years old, and I have had to look at a pitted rusty locking system for 18 months with no-one doing anything about it. Until...., after posting this review on Trustpilot, Solidor contacted me within a couple of days and asked me to get in touch, which I did. I explained again what had happened, and spoke to Owen, who was very helpful and asked me to forward some pictures to him, again which I did. Owen reviewed the pictures and contacted me and my Installer the next day to arrange for a new locking system to be sent direct to me for my Installer to come and install. I have since received the new locking mechanism and I am just waiting for my Installer. I can honestly say, that having had what appeared to be a bad experience indirectly with Solidor, having now spoken to them directly, they acted quickly and swiftly to resolve my issue, I just wish I had done this months and months ago. So, credit where credit is due, I had to edit my review from a 2 Star to a 4 Star as Solidor have done what they said they would and turned the bad experience around. Many thanks Owen and Solidor.

"Amazing service!!"
What fantastic service. I called Solidor yesteray to explain that the draught trim around our doorway had received slight damage via our builder's toolbox. The girl said it was no problem and she would send some out right away. Well it arrived today and there was no charge. What amazing customer care.
