"Aftercare is non-existent"

Aftercare is non-existent. I needed a couple of small screws that had come out and gone missing, but no one answers the phone, and emailing them is a waste of time. Nice doors, but zero aftercare! Avoid.

"Solidor Composite Door not fit for purpose"

Solidor composite doors supplied under 12 months ago, having to be removed and replaced. Alternative manufacturer being selected.

The authorised installer had liquidated so I contacted Solidor directly,. Solidor would only direct me to the insurance backed guarantee which comes into effect when an installer is in liquidation.
Emails 8th March-28th March including photos and invoices.

An independent assessment of the Door found it is warped top and bottom (which can only be resolved by a replacement door). He also noted other failings in glass panels.

It should not fail it’s basic function within one year.

"Door manufactured twice incorrectly, third time lucky?"

I ordered a Solidor door via a 3rd party and Solidor have manufactured it twice incorrectly. First time the door was incorrect height, width and cill type. The second time the door was to the wrong spec. Now having to wait for the third attempt. I suggest you don't order a Solidor if you want it fitted quickly.

"Solodor refuse to replace brand new faulty door"

I had a new door fitted by a great local supplier/fitter on 04/04/2022. I decided on solodor as I had been led to believe these were high quality doors. It cost nearly £2k and has been faulty from fitting. It is bowed, has a gap (you can see the driveway) around the doorlock barrel, is draughty and noisy. The fitters returned and confirmed it was bowing at the bottom. They were told by the solodor rep that it would be replaced following some measurements. The fitters came back, took measurements and I thought my new door was on order. Today the fitters returned, having been told by the rep to try two things. If this didn't work then they would replace the door. They tried the things and the door remains bowed and the space remains around the key barrel. The fitters rang the solodor rep, who stated that as they had changed the frame (as told) to fit the warped door, that they would no longer supply a new door! They also told them to add silicone to the gap around the barrel as 'standard industry practice'! My fitter has NEVER done this before to a door. My fitter is exasperated by Solodor dodging of responsibility for this faulty door. I am exasperated by the companies lack of integrity - their own 'solodor promise' is a complete farce. This 'within tolerance' catchall for poor workmanship is an unacceptable practice and I will be going to the trade ombudsman with my complaint. I have lost faith that any door solodor would provide would be tolerable to me. I would like a door that doesn't let the wind in or risk water ingress through poorly measured cavities. Absolute rubbish!

"Avoid this company"

Avoid this company! The after care is terrible, my door has warped at the bottom 12 mm letting rain water in to the new kitchen. I've contacted them numerous times with no help offered other than "we will look in to this". months later I'm still mopping the kitchen out every time it rains total waste of money I'd look else where if you want a door that is fit for its purpose.

I was going to buy a Solidor door until I read the reviews.
The worrying thing is the generic customer service reply by ‘Jess’. I don’t think Jess exists! The automated reply varies only slightly. Even the customer whose review criticises the ‘finder review’ is automatically directed to use it.
Really, really bad impression. I’m totally put off buying from Solidor.

Solidor have asked me to complete the 'find reviewer function ', but no idea what this is. Have explained this directly to solider but still no reply! Anyone else having same issue 😕

"Solidor aftersales was amazing and FREE !"

I contacted Solidor as a few marks to the paint had been made on the surround of the glass to our door. This was I think a delivery driver that nestled the edge of a sharp part being delivered on it.

Rhys was really helpful, asked for my details confirmed that paint was only suitable for the raised beading and literally next day I received some touch up paint that has worked a treat. The icing on the cake being, this was all free!

I cannot thank Rhys enough for his polite and responsive messages and prompt dispatch of the paint.

Thanks so much I am really pleased with the service I have received. Proper yester year customer service.

I had problems with my Solidor Door which isn’t very solid at all I have been ignored by them and advise anyone to go elsewhere do you are not disappointed with your expensive purchase
