"Solidor - made very badly"
I had Solidor front door fitted with side panels on 7/7/21. on the day of fitting they where advised of a number of issues with the door, but they haven't put this right. I have had to approach trading standards last week who advised me to send an email/letter to Alexander Windows who supplied the door, but i haven't had a response as of yet, they have clearly read my email.
This door has been very badly mad, there are scratches on the paint, dents to the white frame, the white and black trim has not been put in neatly and looks a mess, there is glue oozing out of the panels and window panes, the trim around the bottom of the door is missing and the paint on the front door looks like it has run..
Are you able to help...

"Amazing aftercare service"
We purchased a Solidor stable door several years ago and absolutely love it. Unfortunately one of the rubbers on the low profile threshold has worn and water has started getting in. I contacted Solidor to ask which rubber I required expecting to be told what I needed and cost of product. I was asked to send a picture of the required part, which I did.
BIG SHOCK, Solidor replied saying that the required rubber was in the post. Parcel received the next day containing both replacement rubbers for the threshold.
What can I say AMAZING PRODUCT and AMAZING AFTERCARE SERVICE.

"High quality, built to last."
My parents bought me my Solidor door as a moving in present and I could tell that it was a superior quality built door. That was 17 years ago and it still looks as good today. A heavy, secure door with an exceptional finish that does its job with 100% satisfaction. I've even had passers-by knock on my door to ask where I got it from.
I contacted Solidor recently with an enquiry and they replied promptly and went above and beyond with their help (thank you Grace!)
I'd recommend Solidor everytime.

Jess I've explained I am unable to follow your instructions yet Solidor have yet to support. Furthermore Steve Woolrich @Solidor (asked me to provide details) still waiting on a response.
This saga has been ongoing since late 2019, I remain confident that other customers should purchase from another brand.
Until Solidor hold 'sub-contracted' suppliers and fitters accountable then buyer beware, consider another brand.
This is a 100% honest account, which I won't change until I get any assistance.
It seems that only a negative review here after years of fighting, will actually result in some positive action, hopefully this will be the case.
I bought my very expensive Solidor door in good faith in December 2019 and I have been ignored by Timber Composite Doors (purchase) and treated awfully by Martindale's (fitter), who are more than aware of the numerous faults, time lost, phonecalls, emails and the anxiety of the entire matter. An example is Martindale's fitters refusing to move from outside my house for over two hours, because I wouldn't allow them to 'hit my door handle with a hammer' or 'use an angle grinder to remove my door handle' both unbelievable but sadly very true stories.
This has been going on long before Covid and my next steps will be citizens advice, trading standards and finally my credit card to claim my money back.
I have been very patient during lockdown, however this is is now getting ridiculous, T.C.D have conveniently 'forgot about me'. Martindale's are abusive and often like to embellish the truth.
Solidor you are happy for 'Timber Composite Doors' to stock and fit your doors, let's see if you will actually hold them accountable for the poor service which is linked to your brand through your product.

I thought I had bought a high quality superior door. Not the case despite the expense. The door has two windows and one of those has clearly not been sealed correctly which has resulted in the window getting moisture in and corroding the pattern on the glass. It looks really naff. I emailed the supplier who sourced and fitted the door and was told they would pick up with Solidor. It has now been months and I keep being told they are waiting to here back. I decided to contact Solidor direct who have responded but only to say they can’t do anything until the supplier sends them the details… which I am told they have. I am going around in circles and neither party seem remotely interested in just fixing the issue.

I thought I has bought the Rolls Royce if doors. However the triple glazing panel fogging up the seal oozing black gunge and door warped. Disappointed does even cut it. When trying to phone can't even get through to speak to a human being. Really frustrated please think twice before buying as they have almost washed there hands of our case and our installer having to find replacement with different product. Which really is not on. I would like to speak to someone in solidor a manager who would actually take some action. Not just send email messages. Please get you act together.
Grace was dealing with this complaint which has lead to a dead end.
As a consumer we should not have to put up with a door that is not fit for purpose.
What I would like is to have this fully resolved with a replacement door the same and then happy to write a review that would reflect a positive outcome.

Usually I am not writing reviews or complaining of many things, but all the situation I am going through, is not leaving me a different choice.
I purchased a Solidor door a few months ago, which came in a different colour. For paying more than 2k for the door I said to the trader from the 1 st moment I am not happy with the colour and I want it to be changed . They agreed at the time is a different colour. Asked to be left to fix the door and will be replaced further as they will contact Solidor
After a week they are sending me an email, saying the supplier is not agreeing to change the door as is the colour ordered ( which obviously is not) .
They are trying to convince me that is the colour ordered and the reason I m seeing it differently is my phone contrast(!) and if I want to change it I should pay extra £600 !!!
The way the trader is dealing with this situation is awful.
Tried to contact even Solidor by email or phone but seems I don’t have any luck to be responded.
