"Chelmsford branch avoid at all costs"
Took my car for an MOT at Chelmsford branch which they had to abort as they didn't have a piece equipment as they didn't realise it was 4X4 till they opened the bonnet. Whilst driving home in my car they called to say my car was ready. Then called again to say the piece of equipment had miraculously appeared and tried to rebook me in. 2 and a half weeks later, numerous phone calls and still no sign of a refund. Definitely won't be going back - shockingly customer service
Update - spoke to a helpful person at head person who confirmed Chelmsford hadn't processed anything but have now assured me they will be processing the refund. Still wouldn't go back to the branch though!!

"HAPPY TO HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO CROYDON BRANCH"
Had my car MOT'd last week at Croydon Branch and it failed on few things. Manager Sel advised on what work was needed/cost etc. He was very informative/genuine, no pressure put on me at all. Left car with him and returned couple hrs later to all work having been completed, such great service to have all done on day. On my experience, I would highly recommend as Sel and his team are professional and friendly. Big thanks to them.

Had my car delivered to Mr Clutch on 30/01/2025 as my clutch required replacement.
I spoke with Dave who said that if I could get my car to him, he would replace the clutch within a day additionally I received a quote for the works.
The work was completed on time and at the price quoted. Dave could not have been more helpful and the customer service that I received was exemplary.
I would highly recommend Mr Clutch Maidstone branch and if you intend to use them, don’t forget to ask for Dave.

I have recently used Mr Clutch in Norwich for replacement brake pads. What I did appreciate was not only the quality of work but the advise that it was not necessary to replace the brake discs forsome time. They did not try to sell me something I did not need at the time

"Got a quote from Portsmouth…"
Firstly got a quote from Portsmouth branch with telephone diagnostic of possible problem for a) just replacing master cylinder - often 90% of the problem - for £280. but warned if not that need to replace whole clutch and dual mass flywheel for just over £1,200.
Wife took car in to Southampton branch and they diagnosed dual mass flywheel. Work completed and charged the Portsmouth estimate.
When pointed out that it included the master cylinder they refunded the £280 overcharge. An understandable genuine mistake.
Nice to deal with an honest, competent garage.

One more year on and MOT due again so off to Mr Clutch Maidstone. They are by far the most professional people to deal with. Always thorough but 100% fair and accurate something a lot of other places fail on. It's really nice to have a happy faces to deal with and a prompt turnaround, especially the guy (sorry didn't get his name) on reception was the same guy I saw on a quick pre MOT inspection on one of my tyres last week, really good to do business with you, thank you.

"Mechanic changed car settings to Polish for no reason"
Really confused why whoever worked on my car changed the language settings to Polish and changed all of my radio presets to Polish stations. Not sure why any of that needed touching at all given the work I had done.

Twice now I've had problems with Mr clutch Bedminster Bristol.. fist was the broke the interior mirror off my car a few years ago so they had to replace the whole windscreen.. now they done an mot and oil change on y car and put on much oil in... oil was oil over engine coming out the turbo... they made out the oil cap was broke and said it was coming from there
