"Absolute time wasters"

Absolute time wasters! Totally unaware of local laws! Denied my UK business an SSL certificate just because we are not registered at companies house. Ordinary partnerships do not need to be registered at companies house. But they didn’t listen to any of my emails trying to explain this. They basically say: you can not get an SSL certificate unless you are LTD company! Terrible experience. Stay clear! Now I need to fight to get a refund! Terrible experience.

"Horrible experience."

Horrible experience.. They activated OTP without our approuval.. They kept me on the phone for almost an our to be able to delete the OTP information they added and add our own. During that one hour, I installed Let's Encrypt on the server in question and got it working for free.. They are losing a customer.

"Incompetent and unprofessional."

The website and product ordering is confusing. The sales team has no idea what they're talking about. The validation team has no idea what they're talking about. The supervisors are unreliable and always "in a meeting". They will put you on hold for least 20min. every call, or disconnect you! The shipping team is incompetent. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR BUSINESS.

"I had a very disappointing experience…"

I had a very disappointing experience with Digicert. After waiting over a month to get my certificate approved, I was informed that my business had to be in existence for at least three years to qualify. This information should have been communicated clearly and timely from the beginning to avoid wasting time and resources. The lack of transparency and delay in communication left me very dissatisfied with their service. I hope you can improve these aspects to provide a more efficient experience for your customers.

"In my opinion it's not worth the hassle…"

For me it's not worth the hassle! It was the worst on-boarding experiences I have had in a long time. They try to make you contact some platforms I had never heard of before to update information like your phone number. It's 2023 and there are official business registration sites like companies house in the UK, just so you know DigiCert team. Maybe they should check their documentation of platforms that they can trust rather than trying to make the customer update some information on some private websites. Who even thought a phone number is a great way to validate a business? So many things were strange about it all that I got my order cancelled and refunded.

"Certificate validation is a disaster!"

Certificate validation is a disaster! They found some 10 year old (non existing) telephone number of our company in some public company listing and they keep phoning that number for the validation call, even tough we gave them the correct (current) number when signing up with them (Duh!) Which is also on our websites contact us form (Duh!) and on Google my Business (Duh!).etc. Stay far away from this company. Waste of time, energy and money.

I was an admin for a Utah university's office of IT that used DigiCert for our digital certificates. Anytime we had an outage related to our certs they were there to help and quickly resolved the issue.

"OV Validation is a mess, no one cares about the customer"

I have ordered an S/Mime certificate from DigiCert. In order to be able to carry out the validation, a CertCentral account was set up. I have not heard anything more from this company. They are neither interested in the customer nor in his order. After 8 days I cancelled the whole thing, no validation team ever got in touch with me to even carry out the order.

Automated orders work. But as soon as someone has to do something, everything falls apart. Never again.

"28 days and no certificate issued"

My company has ordered SSL's from Digicert for 10 years through the same account.

This year I renewed our Digicert code signing certificate on March 8, 2023. The certificate expires on March 31 and despite my over 20 chat sessions, setting up a time for them to call me (and they didn't) finally on April 5 they tell me they decided they won't issue a code signing certificate to my business and I need to purchase it from someone else.

Last month Digicert issued my company a SSL for our website, but won't explain why they won't issue a code signing certificate.

Digicert never emailed me when my website SSL expired. It seems they are failing big time lately.

I first purchased a Digicert certificate for the same US based company through the same Digicert account on August 26, 2013. But won't be buying anything from Digicert again.
