Dopo aver richiesto un rimborso, che doveva essere fatto tra i 14 e 21 giorni sono passati tre mesi ed ancora nulla.
Dopo due solleciti oggi mi sono rivolto ad un avvocato.

"Bereavement cancellation of holiday, Columbus not settling in good time."

My holiday had to be cancelled on 13th March due to my mum passing away. The claim was put in the same week, followed by documents required, namely a death certificate & cancellation invoice a couple of weeks later. They have all the information & yet they fail to settle despite countless calls and emails. The holiday company has retrieved 75% of the money of the holiday due to the compassion of the hotel & airline due to a bereavement. Columbus in the meantime is not settling a straightforward claim. Worst is you can’t talk to anyone high up. Their customer and claim service is absolutely disgraceful & it’s so stressful as it is having lost Mum. I feel they lack compassion. I’ll be going elsewhere next time.

Simple and easy to complete the on line information required with a selection of options for level of cover at a competitive price. I did contact Columbus with a query and had a quick response form customer service.

"Trying to get a reply"

Having taken out my policy I dislocated my shoulder prior to the holiday. I’m trying to get a response from Columbus to my question whether/how this affects my cover. They try to call me once then email to say they couldn’t contact me. This game of ping pong has continued for 15 days. Still no idea whether I can go ahead with my holiday!

"We found the website very user friendly…"

We found the website very user friendly and in complete contrast to a different site which, after 20 minutes of frustration, I exited.
The questions were clear and progress through the site was without a problem.
We insured with Columbus in the years before Covid - it’s been a pleasure to come back.

3 mail di richiesta di chiarimento su una clausola in polizza e...nessuna risposta.
E io dovrei stipulare una polizza con un assicurazione che non si preoccupa nemmeno di rispondere a mail di chiarimento sulle clausole...?
Mah! Alla faccia dell'affidabilità se ho bisogno di loro dopo...

"I’ve purchased travel insurance with…"

I’ve purchased travel insurance with snow sport cover multiple times from Columbus although this is the first time I’ve had to claim - for a cancellation due to covid.

There has been no end of delays to processing and payment, with staff employing delaying tactics at every turn. I’m asked for a document, submit it to them, then chase up to find out the status, only to be asked for something different.

They are withholding substantial amounts of money to avoid paying and after asking for an escalation / complaint, the call handler was extremely rude. It’s also near on impossible to get through to anyone, and I’ve been promised multiple call backs and still haven’t received them, nor had my claim settled.

I’ve also tried following the complaints procedure and had no response / success with that route. Advise to purchase insurance elsewhere.

"Mai più con Columbus Assicurazioni"

Ero all' Estero. Pronto intervento telefonico senza un assistenza medica e una guida alla ricerca di ospedali e medici.Ho dovuto fare in loco tutto da solo.Al rientro portate fatture e scontrini per rimborso mi hanno detto che il mio caso non rientrava nella Bibbia Aziendale.Fatto reclamo sono ancora in attesa.Se negativa contatterò il mio legale.La peggiore compagnia con cui abbia fatto una polizza. Comprate polizze Tedesche Inglesi,Danesi sono si persone serie.
