"Not reliable and poor customer care"
I took heating and home energy protect policy with them recently and had a poor experience so far:
1. Called once when there was a water leak, Engineer came on day 3 and mentioned he cannot do anything about it because he need to open floor tiles to see the problem and its not part of his job.
2. Called after few months for annual service and I am told to call back with systems being down.

Terrible company do not use them!
They left me for 12 days without hearing or hot water .
They offer £750 towards a new boiler BUT ONLY THROUGH THEIR SUPPLIER
Their supplier ‘sureserve’ inflated the actual price of the boiler by 400 and wanted to charge delivery . They then quoted me £6k to install it! I refused and said they were profiteering from people in need. I waited a week for a phone call . Their claims department were meant to respond in 24 hours , a week passed and no email. They basically want you to use their supplier to make some money out of you when you are stuck ! Despicable disgusting and inhuman

Boiler had same fault since March 2024, 8 visits so far from engineers and still not working properly. Parts take 12 days to arrive! They do not communicate with you, always the customer chasing up what’s happening. Really poor service.

They have their cowboy domestic and general plumbing engineer,not professional at all, waiting for weeks to repair our boiler,it did not happen,I have to change the boiler because of their delays and excuses

A complete waste of time and money. They bombard you with multiple calls and promotional deals, but the policy offers no meaningful coverage. When there’s a genuine issue, everyone shifts blame to someone else. After wasting your money for months or even years, they’ll cancel your policy in seconds.
Avoid this at all costs—terrible policy and service. Don’t be misled by their promotional calls!

"COWBOY OUTFIT"
If there was a minus stars option this company would get it. I have been paying a service and maintenance plan with this company for many years, but when I needed help with a leaking boiler they were running a mile! Contacted them on 17th December as my heating wasn't working & boiler started leaking. The boiler is in a cupboard with electrics. Was advised to switch boiler off at mains & engineer would call on 19th. Requested a call prior to visit as I would need to get away from work. Never received a phone call & when I got home there was a note left saying g they called & "you were out". Eventually visited on 20th December, the quickest visit in history by a man with an invisible tool kit. After approx 3 mins he declared " need to order a part". No explanation as to what part or why. Thereafter ensued numerous phone calls to them where they claimed they were awaiting delivery of said part. A part by the way that is widely available & i could have bought myself from any number of places. When I pointed this out was told " we only use reputable companies". Not very reputable if it takes 3 weeks to deliver a part! After 2 weeks, the guy answering phone advised me I could turn the boiler on!!! This was after 2 weeks of relying on family & neighbours to use there showers & a fortune in running electric heaters in freezing temperatures. Low & behold the mysterious part arrived on 6th January & was repaired on 7th January. Call me cynical, but I don't believe a word they said & I will be seeking compensation - if they can be found, you see they have no listing in Companies House & several different phone numbers listed on Google. DO NOT WASTE ANY OF YOUR MONEY on this company. They can't be trusted & will let you down when you need them most. A rip off.

"AVOID"
If I could give zero stars I would - Please AVOID this company. Absolutely shocking service, never fix boiler properly resulting in further issues. Never have any parts so they have to order resulting in having to wait ages. They don't tell you when contract is due for renewal, no letter rec'd just automatically renew it themselves. My contract ran from January for 12 months, they only contacted me this month Dec to arrange to carry out annual service. Have cancelled my contract as no longer throwing anymore money at this company. My elderly mother & father in law had very similar issues as myself with them most recently when their boiler broke down again 2 wks after if was meant to apparently have been fixed. Were told a part was required and may not get said part until the Tues. So they were quite willing ( and not bothered) about leaving a 79 and 84 yr old couple with no heating or hot water from the Thursday until the Tuesday, this was at the start of this month- Dec and also despite the fact I told them my mother in law was very ill. Absolutely disgusting way to treat customers !!!!

If I could give no stars I would
My nephews heating and hot water have broken down. thy sent someone out at 5pm, when call was made first thing in morning. He has no hot water, no heating and a two year old in the house. They are not coming until next Tuesday (6 days!!) This is with a "vulnerable" person in the house and they commit to prioritizing these cases, so goodness knows how normal customers have to wait. On top of all this, they have been charging my nephew £34 per month for cover that is actually £24.50 a month for a higher level of cover! They are incompetent and dont care. Avoid at all costs.

Left us without heat and hot water in 0 temps for days - still not back on as engineer misdiagnosed first time round now need to wait for another part when I can find one in city boiler spares today - shcoking service
