"We loved Smiddy Cottage"

A very comfortable cottage in a peaceful area but with easy access to necessary facilities e.g. shops, pubs, and cafes. And not far from ferries to Mallaig and Barra. Some lovely walks close by. The cottage was very warm and cosy.

Stayed in Am Blàr Beag in Ness on Isle of Lewis. Wonderful stay, house super well-equiped, hosts Christina and Angus warm, friendly and helpful throughout with very generous welcome package. Would thoroughly recommend a stay there. Ness has several lovely beaches, places to eat and drink and is the perfect spot to hear Gaelic spoken as the language of the day and place. Lovely people.

This is the third time we have booked a holiday with LHH and have found them to be very helpful and efficient. We've stayed at Taigh na Beadan, Tigh en Leigh and Skylarks and thoroughly enjoyed each house. Such a pleasure to have a great brochure to look at and excellent website. We will certainly use LHH again.

A great property in a great location. Great base for Munros and road cycling routes. Well equipped kitchen, welcoming public rooms, space for storing and drying kit. Would happily return.

Overall, we loved this house at Culkein Lodge. It is large, comfortable and civilised. The spotlit book collections were a joy. There was everything in the house that we needed with generous supplies of starter fuel for the stove. We also appreciated very much the comfortable sofa and seats downstairs and the quality beds and bedlinen. We also appreciated the supplies of cooking essentials in the kitchen All this set in such beautiful surroundings. We had a really lovely week there at New Year. LHH were easy and flexible to deal with. Good value for money.
