"Balm for the soul at Croft 23"

My daughter and I stayed at Croft 23, Gairloch, for 10 days in November this year. The house was everything it promised to be and we didn't find a single fault with it! The icing on the cake was the sauna, which we used with delight after 2 seaswims at local beaches. There is so much light in the house that typical November weather doesn't dampen the spirits in any way. We found LHH very efficient in their dealings, and the owners responsive and very pleasant to deal with when we had a query.
For a larger family group, the second sitting room would be a real boon as would the large garden with lots of room for children to play. The wealth of lovely beaches nearby, and the absolute peace and quiet of the location revived our spirits after a difficult year.
We'll be back!

"No change here"

Yes, well you would write your review as glowing whilst many many others still await a refund from LHH from holidays paid for but nothing in return. After 7 months, we still await our refund of £ 1710 for a cancelled holiday by LHH. They remain an immoral company who illegally operate their business, totally uninterested in the folks who still wait to be reimbursed. A company with no morals and with total disregard to their legal responsibilities. Of course they love the glowing reports from folks on Trustpilot who have not been messed about by them. Nothing has changed. if you have a problem don't expect any help ..... or refund! What sort of company are they?????

"I booked a cottage in the Highlands…"

I booked a cottage in the Highlands (Toer 1) for November. The company contacted me a couple of days in advance to ask me if I would like to cancel the booking or rebook to another date since I am living in a Tier 3 area and should not travel to Tier 1. I was a bit concerned as I have read all these negative reviews etc about LHH regarding Covid cancelation policy. I agreed to cancel the booking and I received my money 2 days later minus £50 administration fee which is fair enough.
Cannot complain about my personal experience with LHH, thought customer service is really good.

"We stayed in Braemore Cottage on Isle…"

We stayed in Braemore Cottage on Isle of Harris at end of September 2020.
It was absolutely perfect, our first time using LHH and I can happily say zero complaints from us, house was perfect, beds and bedding were top quality extremely comfortable, cottage was exactly what we expected, comfortable, high quality and felt homely, addition of hot tub with great view was the cheery on the cake.
Owners are just across the road from the property which was great if we needed anything (although we didn't).
Highly recommend staying here, we loved it.

"Star na Mara, Arisaig - Fantastic house"

Fantastic house, in a beautiful location. Had a wonderful week during half term, exactly what we all needed during these strange times. Beautiful beaches in walking distance, lovely views from the house. One of the best equipped houses we have stayed in.

"Covid? Only MAY receive refund. Check out the reviews."

With the uptick in Covid read LHH Covid terms and conditions: “ In the event of a lockdown, national or local, which prevents you from travelling to your reserved accommodation, you MAY receive a refund or possible postponement of your booking.”
May doesn’t mean will. I didn’t. Got only 50%. They cancelled. As to their policy on reviews. 31 bad reviews were flagged by LHH, 27 for invalid reasons and relisted. Update: a year has elapsed and still not been refunded in full. Yes I could sue them, but the hassle makes it not worthwhile and LHH are aware of this. You’ve been warned.

"You'll need to get legal if LHH let you down..."

This company is fundamentally dishonest. They hide behind an unfair contract term buried within their conditions that WILL be overturned in a small claims action in ANY European court. I know this because I have helped others.

LHH know this and they WILL pay up, but only if you commence proceedings against them either via a HMCTS claim, or a European Small Claims action.

Stand your ground and insist on exercising your rights.

"Awful customer service"

We have booked holiday homes with LHH for several years. The properties have been excellent and the owners have been lovely and helpful. We have never had direct contact with LHH before this year when we were unable to take up our booking because of the nationwide lockdown.
I have to say that I felt that LHH were anything but helpful. They have never offered any kind of refund or recompense. I thought LHH were supposed to be a premium holiday company that provided luxury and great service. I felt dismissed. We were told that we had to claim from our insurance company. I felt we were an inconvenience to their money making. Even now their terms of business on their website are evasive. I have worked in sales and marketing for over 30 years and I know that poor customer service will lose you customers. I will never use LHH or any of their associated companies again. It is a shame because their property portfolio was excellent.

"No rental but no refund"

Like many others, we did not receive a refund following a covid enforced cancellation. I will never use LHH again - I think most firms at the very least would offer a rebooking option.

"Gorgeous Loch Fyne cottage"

We stayed 10/10/20 in Rainechean cottage on the banks of Loch Fyne. It was a gorgeous cottage, high quality furnishings and equipment and lots of little homely touches, often missing in holiday rentals, like tea lights, selection of oils, herbs, spices, plenty of tea and coffee and even hot chocolate and cocoa. So cozy we didn’t even light the wood burner. Joe, the owner, gave us loads of information by email as due to Covid no brochures were allowed in the cottage. The surrounding area is beautiful and we were blessed with good weather. LHH, the agents, were completely professional and prompt in communication and refunding the good housekeeping deposit. We will certainly use them again if Rainechean is typical of their portfolio.
