A friend has just brought to my attention the strange pattern of reviews below. We've never had anything other than great service from LHH. Staff are great. Cottages beautiful. Service outstanding. We will continue to book with them and support them as a company beyond this very strange time for the travel industry. We can only say that we only ever book through LHH and we find the pattern of reviews below strangely suspicious and perhaps leaning towards offensive. We've stayed in the Highlands for many years in many cottages and only ever experienced the best service. Don't be put off by the bitterness below. If you look on their website, you'll see you'll find it hard to get booked up...a direct reflection of the fact that they are a great and successful company who are always busy and poplar!

"Not even worth one star"

Not even worth one star. An immoral company which has been impossible to deal with - hard to contact and speak to someone, unfriendly and refuse to refund when they have cancelled your holiday due to Government Guidelines on Covid 19 and not provided any service.
Cannot post on Facebook as they do not like negative comments so they have shut that avenue down. If you are in the same position as us, please write to the Competition and Markets Authority (Gov.uk) and let them know your circumstance and at least stop anyone else from ending up in the same position as so many of us.
Have read about many business that have provided a great customer service during lockdown - bending over backwards to help to salvage holidays and refunding without hesitation. Their businesses are booming now as all their customers are booking again and showing their loyalty and appreciation on how they have been treated.
LHH could learn from this.

Avoid LHH Scotland at all costs. We were unable to travel to our booked house due to Scottish Government guidelines of not travelling more than 5 miles. They have kept our £700 deposit and not offered any alternatives. Seriously dodgy company, interestingly they are under Companies House listed as a charity! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

Poor customer service doesn’t even cover it- the way they have handled our booking surely borders illegal practise.
Having been unable to make our family reunion holiday at the start of July (due to government legal guidelines stating holiday homes were not yet able to open, and most certainly not for shared households) we have been absolutely horrified to find that LHH have refused to refund our deposit of £700. Every other holiday company we have heard of has provided friends, families with full refunds.
Not only this but their communication has been downright shocking and rude.
We will never again book with them, and advise you to think carefully before parting with your money.

If you want a company to take your money, then cancel your booking, refuse to reschedule then advertise for more? You found them!

Family’s not refunded their money when the company cancelled. Families not getting the opportunity to reschedule. Then families seeing that this company are advertising again.

They deleted their social media accounts. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter because they don’t want a a bad review.

Well, you can’t hide forever. This is theft. Pure and simple.

If I could score this as 0/5 then I would. My family and I book a trip to Lewis this summer and, due to Covid-19 regulations, LHH cancelled our trip. They have thereafter failed to offer us the opportunity to reschedule or trip or provide us with a refund despite several emails to them citing recent guidance from the Competition and Markets Authority to refund all advanced payments and deposits. They are now stubbornly refusing to communicate and have deleted my negative comments from their social media before blocking me. I note that they have since taken down their social media accounts and, with no other method of posting a review or feedback, I have decided to post on here. I see that there are many others in my position who have been left out of pocket and that LHH have reported these reviews on an attempt to have them removed. The attitude of LHH has been absolutely appalling. I have never been treated so badly as a paying customer. I would urge all customers in the same position as I am to report the company to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) via their online form in order to build a stronger case against them. In short, LHH have taken my money, failed to provide a service and refused to issue a refund. My strong advice is to avoid booking with this company!

LHH are a very professional company offering beautiful houses around Scotland in some stunning settings.

We have stayed with friends in three properties through LHH and we have had excellent service every time.

I work in the travel industry so it's refreshing to deal with a friendly and professional company that can offer help and advice. Would highly recommend
