Great support and information from lhhscotland.com for our visit to Saltwinds on Skye. A fabby holiday over the October break. The weather wasn't great but when you come to the Misty Isle that's to be expected and in Saltwinds we didn't care. When you have such a great house with views over the bay and plenty of room for 6 of us, time in the house was time to relax and with the fire - cosy, chill out. Saying that we were out every day - the drying room was so useful. Not our first time to Skye so caught up on sites we hadn't seen and recommend visit to the Old Man of Storr. We walked a loop up to the Cullen's from Glenbrittle campsite and back via the waterfall at Eas Mor - beautiful and just the most atmospheric pictures. One evening we went to the Three Chimneys Restaurant having booked weeks in advance. Lovely. The walk over to Talisker Bay from the house was a long haul and a little underwhelming once we arrived so would advice a drive if you want to see the Bay. All in all, Skye is a wondrous place and Saltwinds just the best base to explore.

"Feel like I’ve had a lucky escape"

So glad I read the reviews before I paid any money! I have just tried to book with this company, and stopped short of paying after they added £250 onto the rental fee, saying that the brochure I had was for 2020 - 2021, and that the 2022 fees had gone up. By 40%?!?! Thank God for sites like this and thanks to all you people who have warned potential customers to keep away from this company. We had enough trouble getting our flights and holiday money back last time we had a lockdown and just to hear that this company had to be dragged by trading standards in order to do the right thing makes me feel like I’ve just had a lucky escape.

"An Lochan"

We had a great week at An Lochan, Finsbay, Harris.
The house is superb. Well insulated with a constant very pleasant temperature.
Wildlife can be seen through the large windows on a daily basis and includes both Golden and White tailed eagles. Seals entertain in the bay below the house.
Facilities are sparkling and the kitchen was well stocked with extras to help with cooking and lovely table wear and crockery.
I would definitely recommend not only this property but LHHS to anyone thinking of a self catering holiday in Scotland.

"Rude and condescending staff LHH Scotland."

The house we rented on the Isle of Harris was fantastic. However this 2 start review is mainly aimed at the agents LHH.
I had some reservations about the good housing keeping deposit. (GHD) I have no issue with paying a deposit to cover any accidental damage that may be caused.
I phoned LHH and wanted clarification about the GHD and I was passed onto the managing director. This person was very rude, abrupt and condescending. Their attitude certainly made me very wary and did not fill me with confidence that any disputes or issues would be dealt with fairly.
The property owners emailed a couple of days before our arrival and they were very welcoming and provided lots of very useful information. They even bought some milk so that we could have a coffee on arrival. The welcome hamper was excellent and the house was very clean and welcoming.

"Another great stay booked with LHH"

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Eriskay Views Cottage in August. This is the 2nd time we've booked with LHH and I'd highly recommend them. The quality of accommodation and location was excellent and we had a great time touring Eriskay, the Uists and Barra from our base. A first class service from Wynne at the beginning and easy to manage our booking using the online portal after that. I'm sure we'll be back and have been recommending LHH to numerous friends and relatives.

"We had a lovely time at the Owl Barn"

We had a lovely time at the Owl Barn, KirkMichael. A super house, really well equipped and in a lovely setting. Being able to set off on walks from the house made for a relaxing time. We did venture a little further afield too. A great holiday.

"Strone House in Glenfruin"

Strone House in Glenfruin. Booked it for a hen do and it was beyond any expectation. We had and amazing time, our lovely host had set tables up for us and provided free Prosecco, just lovely touches! Amazing facilities, so so much to do. Will be back!

Hi Angus and Allina, Sorry it has taken almost a week to e-mail you. Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed your terrific property in such a beautiful location. Everything was great and suited us very well.
Thank you very much for the great welcome pack we enjoyed every bit of it and the red wine was so much to our taste that we bought another at the store in Leverburgh. Thanks also for the doggy pack much appreciated by our pooch. We were absolutely delighted by your thoughfulness.
LHH have not asked us for feedback yet but we would just say that your house was of 5 star standard and very generously provided everything we needed AND MORE.

We booked a holiday home in the Outer Hebrides in August. LHHS had an excellent selection of homes and were very easy to contact and book with.
The home itself was wonderful and was even better than described.
