"I was billed 248.00 for a 10 pence…"

I was billed 248.00 for a 10 pence debt, I was advised that if I didn't pay it, they would send someone round to remove goods from my home. The Company in return is in debt for over 200 Million to National Westminster Bank, so they switched their bank account to LloydsBank PLC. The charge code against the Company is 0839 7825 0001. I attempted to pay them however LloydsBank flagged them as suspect; as the bank account they quote on their website isn't for Court Enforcement Services. Everyone should try and make reasonable effort to pay their debts and that includes this Company. It is mainly run by the Japanese and they operate from a PO BOX Number their real address is Floor 9 Peninsular House, 30-36 Monument Street, London, England, EC3R 8LJ, which is more than likely a virtual office address.

I tried to have a reasonable conversation with them, just got shouted at. Its a sad affair when companies threaten vulnerable adults in their homes without notification; say one thing and then do the complete different purely to be overly aggressive. The maximum a bailiff is allowed to charge per letter on a debt under 1500 pounds is £75 for each letter and £235.00 for visiting and £110.00 for selling your goods, you can be charged an extra 7.5% if the debt is over 1500.00. That is the legal maximum. They charge £90 plus VAT for a letter, £228+ VAT for a visit upto £1000.00 owed, £594.00 for entering your home and £630.00 for sale of your goods. So they are in fact breaking the law. This only happened as a mains water pipe burst, meaning a call-out, however local residents get charged.

As a one bedroom household we have been charged over £3000.00 in two years for a water supply. £630 even when not resident.

Its a sad affair that Southern Water are being so aggressive regarding collections especially when they owe the state over 102 Million in unpaid fines.

Our Company being under state control issue the first debtor balance to Southern Water with a credit note for a larger sum, allowing them time to collect themselves. We have issue via counter claim their unpaid debt and interest for this year as the debt still remains unpaid, therefore they have borrowed and owe now twice as much.

This means that as Court Enforcement Services have involved themselves and acted unprofessionally, they have in turn by representation of Southern Water made themselves liable. Which is why they have over 200 million in debt in their name, if not greater charge code 0839 7825 0001.

As the debt collector is the resolving third party, it is their responsibility to collect from Southern Water by the end of their financial year, as Southern Water cannot; the Judge will accept plead, excusing the debt, for a viable retainer and order the debt collector to collect the full sum, from Southern Water. If the debt is not collected by the end of the companies financial year they face a winding up petition. If that happens Southern Water will not owe the debt. The Judge will not allow the debt collector to contest, as they accepted the case; even if our household is released from burden of debt, the debtor collector is still liable for the counter claim.

We will then be able to dispose of the debtor asset and gain Government back its money in full once the debtor collector has been wound up. It is not the Judges concern if the debt collector can or cannot collect the debt, he will make ruling for it to be collected.

"Recovered my claim in full"

Helpful and kept me informed throughout the entire process. My money was recovered in full and the process was easy and simple.

For anyone wondering if they should use this service, I would definitely recommend it but you just need to understand that it's not without risk and isn't a guarantee of success.

Bear in mind the bad reviews are from people who didn't have their money recovered for whatever reason and were unsatisfied - unhappy people are louder than the ones who quietly got what was needed and when picking I had to remember that too.

"Don't waste your money - walk away now"

Have to say that this has been an appalling company to 'have on my side'! Their customer service is non existent and I truly wish I'd read the reviews about them before taking the plunge. Their website makes promises they simply can't or don't keep!

When I took them on, I was told that I'd get a monthly update on everything that had happened. I got one in all the time that they were 'working for me'. I put that in speech marks because I actually can't see how they worked for me, save getting the High Court writ at the beginning of the process.

The customer service lady was unbelievably rude and tried to fob me off on every call I was forced to make to their office to try and get an update. At one point she told me that their policy was to get an agent out within 30 days. When I pointed out that it had been near on 60 days since the previous visit, she just repeated what their policy was. No recognition of their failing. No recognition or apology that I had to chase constantly for an update, and in fact, I only ever really received updates on calls to their sales guy, when I phoned him to complain.

The whole process cost me a further £150+ and I received NOTHING - oh, unless you regard excuses and stress as receiving something!!!

Don't take them on. They'll ultimately tell you that the law forbids them to make entry to a property unless invited to do so by the owner (unlikely lol!!) and so in actual fact, they can do nothing. In many ways, it's a bit of a scam and certainly bears no resemblance to the claims on their website.

CES - don't both with the standard rubbish response that you've written on each of the other considerable 1 star reviews. If someone's reading this, and the other 1 star reviews (all sound remarkably similar), then they'll be bored by your standard reply!!

"Waste Of Money"

Poor communications, shambolic admin. Waste of money. I don't recognise this company from the positive reviews posted by other customers. Unless my case was handled by the " C" team and everyone else got the " A" team?

My case file was not actioned for three months due to administrative incompetence. Fact.
