Have had the double pet door for yes, it was installed right in the wall never had a problem with the door. I have several dogs so door is worked hard, The clear flaps wears out about every 18 months, but they are easy to replace. I'm sure with just one dog they would last for years. Very happy with the product.

This is our second Hale pet door. Although not the least expensive, it certainly is the best. Excellent materials and construction with perfect fit are what lead me to this conclusion.
We have the medium size for our two Springers. When we moved to our new home, it was a few months until I replaced our all glass porch door with one that has space for a pet door. Now that it is in, I'm not sure who is most delighted, my wife and I or our two Springers.
The double door system is very effective in the winter keeping out the cold. The magnetic catches always secure the flaps perfectly after every entry or exit.

Cost is higher in beginning but the flaps lasted over 4 years. I've had doors in the past last less than 6 months. Replacement flaps was simple. We have three dogs going in and out all day. Great product!!

I have had this door from hale 15 years. Need to replace flaps every 4 years or so, I have a tall large size. 2 dogs 85lbs. lab and 40lbs. Mix. Would of gave 5 stars, flaps have a very strong odor. It's been a week and can still smell odor, hope it dissipate soon!
