"One mistake after another useless"

Booked 2 new tyres with RAC as their prices were good. Got a fitting time of 12.30 arrived just before 12.30 at Formula One Tyres Hastings to be told sorry but we have 3 bookings for 12.30 do you mind waiting 1/2 hour, I agreed. 40mins later I was told one tyre hadn't arrived and they were not allowed to only fit one. They tried getting a delivery time but could not get this only that the tyre would be with them the following day!! Went back late the following day and the tyres were fitted. Only to discover the following day when the car was serviced that the front tyre had been fitted the wrong way round!!! So another trip back the tyre fitters to get the tyre fitted correctly!!!!

Appointment time 11am.Arrived 10.50, told at least an hour but we close at 12. got to come back another day. To be fair it's what I expect these days from any 'service'. I won't be renewing my membership of the RAC either.

"Don’t use!"

Don’t use!! They take your money, then don’t check with the tyre fitter dairy! My car was booked in for today, when I spoke with the tyre fitters they said that they have no appointments until Sunday.. my advice is to avoid like the plague!!

The only good thing about this site was the price. Given the problems I had I wish I’d paid more and gone Independant.
I paid and booked a slot with a local garage.
Garage rang me and said the next day slot not available and couldn’t fit for another two days (Saturday)
Went in on Saturday-no tyre. Garage had to order and it was fitted on Monday. 4 days without a car (runflats so no spare)
Because the garage had ordered the tyre themselves they wanted me to pay for the tyre. No way. I told them to take it up with RAC. Might have been different if the tyre wasn’t already in my possession!!!
Moral of the story; get what you pay for. Wish I’d gone elsewhere!!!

Very swift and competitive prices. Had tyres I wanted in stock when the manufacturer had job until January. Great they have merityre as a fitter as I prefer to use my local merityre as they’re always incredibly helpful and accommodating. Merityre just couldn’t get the tyres I wanted until Jan due to manufacturer shortage.

Really easy and simple to use rac tyres. I ordered tyres and got them fitted very quickly. The price was a lot cheaper than everywhere else and got to chooses which tyre fitters I'd like to use to fit the tyres. Great service :).
