"Avoid like the plague..."

I ordered and paid for two Michelin tyres on 16th June for fitting on Sunday 28th June. Straight forward, you would think. Premium brand, readily available, twelve days notice. Wrong! On 27th (one days notice) Halfords Fitting Service rang to say the tyres had not been received and could they make it Monday so I booked half a day off. On the Monday morning they rang again to advise tyres STILL not received so I have cancelled the whole thing by email! You would have thought that respected brands like RAC, Michelin and Halfords would do better than this...

"Appalling"

I googled mobile tyre fitting.
The third company down came out as RAC tyres. I booked and paid for a tyre. There was some confusion.
The company booked to do the job didn’t even know they were with RAC tyres.
I rang the tyre helpline at 3pm. I was told there was nobody there to take my call and was then cut off.
I rang RAC breakdown for help as I am a member. The lady was rude. So I’m cancelling that next.
I rang customer complaints. After an hour and a half on the phone they couldn’t figure out how to give me a refund and I was told to ring my own bank to claim the money back.
I now have to complete a banking form through the post and wait weeks for a refund.

"Willing to take the money, but unwilling to refund when they couldn't source the tyres."

Ordered and paid for 2 tyres, over £200, they took the payment, contacted me promptly to say the fitter had been booked. One day later they explained they couldn't source the tyres and now nearly 2 weeks later still waiting for a refund despite emails and 2 phone calls. Not impressed!
