"I’m very frustrated and disappointed 😡😞"

I will never use anymore either RAC and HALFORDS. They not communicate with each other. I took day-off from work to change the tyres and planned my life for other appointments that I missed most of them because my car had to stay for 5 hours at Halfords centre to do the job that should be done within an hour as I booked in the available slot time.
I’m very frustrated and disappointed 😡😞

The whole process from ordering the tyre, booking an appointment for a mobile fitter, right through to having the tyre fitted was seamless. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received, hence the five stars. I would certainly use this service again and recommend to family and friends.

Very efficient service following a breakdown to suggest a new tyre service from the RAC (4th emergency service). Reality is that their 3rd party who fit tyres for them (think they said Halfords?) at your address failed to turn up twice and no real justification for it. Customer services were very apologetic but unable to escalate or do anything about it. Incredibly disappointing and RAC should get their brand unassociated with this service. I will never use this over priced service … I would say again, but as they never turned up in the first place I will change that to EVER! No offer of compensation, but how do you compensate for not being able to see a loved one to help them through chemotherapy… frankly disgusted.

Easy to order website, and at a good price too.
Promptly located a local fitter, in this case a Halfords Autocentre with availability next day.
At Halfords everything ready at the scheduled time apart from a short delay for availability for the wheel alignment, but the service was good and friendly with all the relevant bolt caps fitted and the wheel locking nut stowed away. All done in an efficient and Covid-secure manner.

Deserves zero stars, but had to put down one star. Bought and paid for one tyre to be fitted by mobile fitter. On the day of fitting called mobile fitter to check roughly what time they would arrive. Left him a voicemail but he did not reply. No one turned up on day of fitting. Rang RAC Tyres who were completely unhelpful. Rang the fitter the following day who advised me that they do not cover my postcode and that he had advised RAC tyres the previous day. Yet on the fitters own website they say they cover my postcode. Rang RAC Tyres for a refund. Now waiting nearly 2 weeks for refund. Have been told today it will be in my account in 48 hours. I then used Kwik Fit mobile service. Bit more expensive but great customer service and amazing service by mobile fitter.

"Don't order tyres from RAC"

Don't order tyres from RAC. They outsource to ASDA tyres who then outsource the home fitting to other third parties and they do not deliver as promised. But of course they take the payment as soon as you order. I should have checked with Trustpilot before I ordered. Not a mistake I will make again. I have only given it 1 star because I can't go lower.
