I am a member of the RAC and have been for over 20 years. The fact I just so happened to see that the tyre prices were a LOT LESS! I could not leave them there for the price I got compared to other retailers I ve used in the past, I shall definitely be using again as will need a front set before long.

"Awful"

Awful. Booked for a Monday fitting on Saturday morning. Order confirmed. Got call from fitter on Sunday afternoon stating they could not make the appointment. Had to rebook but due to time could not get booking until the Tuesday. RAC not aware that the booking could not be fulfilled until I spoke to them on Monday. Lots of calls on Monday and Tuesday to chase up. Told On Tuesday would have money within 5 days. Saturday called as no money in my account. Stated it was 5-7 days which I understand, however as the order had not been cancelled it would take further 5-7 days as not been cancelled on the Tuesday. Number of calls today Saturday and told money would be in my account on Tuesday.

Very easy to book and pay for. The service station mechanics were very friendly and professional. I had a great price for the tyres and will definitely be using this service again.! A++

"Appalling customer service!"

I paid £500 last Saturday for four new tyres and booked a fitting slot for Monday (yesterday). On arrival at the due time at the fitters we were told that they had no tryes to fit - they wouldn't even reschedule the fitting as they had no idea when the tyres might actually reach them! I e-mailed RAC tyres immediately on getting home, and got an automated response (so I know they received my complaint). However, it is now 24 hours later and they haven't even bothered to get back to me yet. So I'm cuurently £500 out of pocket, have a car I can't drive and they are doing nothing to resolve the situation. Dreadful!

"Shame I can't leave zero stars"

Shame I can't leave zero stars, second time I have tried to order a tyre, that they are showing stock of, second time I have had an order cancelled due to insufficient stock. Absolute waste of time.

Joke of a company. Take your money even though they don't have stock and don't notify you till the day of fitting. Listen to all the other reviews and avoid.

Very simple user friendly site, with my tyres due to be fitted by local firm I've used before. Best price on net for my particular Bridgestone tyres too....

Service is run by others who do not have the tyres available that I ordered although they claim to have them when ordering- beware if ordering more than one tyre because they may not have stock
Service rep called at 8 this morning advising that tyres I ordered weren’t in stock after ordering at lunchtime yesterday- promised to advise availability but have had no response from their supplier after 6 hours
UPDATE
Arranged new fitting date for the following Wednesday and the tyre fitter didn't show. Contacted RAC tyres yet again and they tell me the tyre fitter had booked for Friday and they had failed to forward the message to me.
Eventually fitted by Homefit Tyres who were very quick and careful.
You would think RAC Tyres have only just started trading - appalling haven't a clue what they are selling and basically mis-sell to the public by claiming to have stock that by their own admission do not have.

Booked in for 2 x front tyres for fitting in 2 days and processed payment of £750. Received email 3 hours later only to be told they don't have the stock and asked me to consider "alternative stock".... what was the point other than take my cash and now I have to wait for a refund. Will not be using them again - you are better contacting local garage direct who would normally fit the stock and check on stocks. Disappointing.
