RAC Tyres

"Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 SUV"
The tyres that I wanted were available with no delay and in the right size (and the right price!).
There was also a fitter located very conveniently for me.

"An absolute disgrace"
An absolute disgrace. Fitters brilliant but RAC absolutely disgusting. Never dealt with such a terrible before. Wrong tyres supplied, of an inferior quality, no mention to say they couldn't supply what I paid for. And to add insult to injury they stated that because I had driven the car home the tyres were now classed as used and it was not their responsibilty. E mail etiquette from Sophie in customer service left alot to be desired, probably re training might help.
Prices seem good, but the old adage is you get what you paid for.
Save yourself any grief and avoid.

"Good price"
Good price, could have been cheaper! Good overall service, nice to buy from a known source. Used them before.

"Customer Service - Poor"
Placed an order on Nov 3rd, cancelled order on Nov 3rd as garage called to say they could not replace tyre on specified date.
Having already waited two weeks for refund, RAC Tyres said it would take another 72 days, effectively until the end of January 2023 to process refund.
Update: The customer service operator who sent me the email regarding waiting 72 days to process the refund, failed to re-read the email before sending it, then failed to read my email querying the processing period. The customer service operator made a mistake.
Refund received.

"No customer service whatsoever. Avoid."
No customer service whatsoever. No tyres at fitters when I attended appointment. Whole afternoon spent waiting on hold, calls cut off after 1 hour. Repeated unsuccessful attempts. Wrote to multiple email addresses to complain. No response one month later. Avoid.

"Merityre Good RAC bad"
Merityre garage wantage absolutely brilliant.

"Worst recovery company Ive ever dealt…"
Worst recovery company Ive ever dealt with. Husband broke down on the hard shoulder near a big roundabout. Told them we have a child and a 5 months old baby in the car, 2hrs and 30 mins later and theyre still not here. On top of all this BS, they told us they wont help of the vehicle isnt in a safe place and therefore, we should call police first. I mean why on earth do these recovery companies get paid for if they cant help their customers?! So so so disgusted..Oh and were still waiting..

"Shambolic !"
Shambolic !
Turned up for the tyre fitting - only ONE tyre has arrived (no comms to warn of a supply chain problem!). Re-ordered. Turned up for 2nd appt to find the 2nd tyre had arrived but wrong size !
Refund with no quibbles, but just dreadful !

"Over Inflated Home Delivery Prices."
1 needed 2 x ST-6000s for my caravan. I was quoted
~ £162 delivered to home (2 x £66.79 + £30 delivery) and ~ £160 for fully fitted (2 x £79.99 + Delivery, fit'g and Balanc'g). The receipt showed £11 ea for fitting. Thus delivery element to fitter was £2.20 ea. i.e. £4.40 as opposed to £25 + £5 = £30 for home delivery. There is no 'Collect' option I could find. The charge of £30 seems common across most online Tyre Suppliers. This stinks of price fixing to keep tyre fitters in a job and a deliberate policy to penalise customers that have the kit and skills to do the job themselves. It makes tyres which do not need balancing (many trailers) unnecessarily expensive. I am very disappointed that the RAC should be a party to such a practice.

"Almost, Tyred of Waiting!"
Ordered three tyres, received an email confirming time and place for fitting. Got to the fitting location, only one tyre!
After a couple of days on the phone trying to sort out what was happening, Ruth one of the customer services staff sorted things out!
Thank you Ruth!!
