"Great experience using RAC tyres"

Great experience using RAC tyres. It was easy to order my tyres online, select a local fitter and choose a date. The tyres were fitted and ready for me to drive away in an hour.

"Shockingly poor service"

If you expect your tyres to be ready at the time you booked them, then think again. I have been stranded at the fitter waiting for the tyres to turn up, RAC cannot say when that is nor will they phone their supplier and find out.
This has cost me a days work and a lot of agro.

"RAC Tyres were good. Fitting poor"

RAC Tyres were good, but I wasn’t impressed with Savoy Tyres, Willerby who fitted them. I checked the tyre pressures the next day and discovered that they hadn’t fitted new valves with my tyres. Poor!

The tyre was fitted wrong and the nut bolts came out. Nearly crashed my car and when I called RAC begging for help they told me they did not sell tyres and that I had to contact the garage my self. But I paid RAC and they told me to go to that garage. I have no consumer rights with the garage. This was shocking. I could have been killed if I lost control of my car.

"Not great"

Not great. Routine tyre replacement, first fitter (f1 Autocentres in Guildford) didn't have tyre when I turned up for appointment. Called second fitter (SMS Team Protyres) to check they had tyre and they asked me to come in half an hour later than appointment, then I still had to wait 40 minutes for fitting.

"Waste of time"

I am currently on the phone and have been for the past 40 minutes (wait time currently 2 minutes?). I booked and paid for a new tyre to be fitted at a local tyre fitting garage. I took the car in and they were aware of the booking so I left the car only to be called 40 minutes later to say the tyre had not been delivered by the supplier (RAC Tyres). Therefore I am trying to get an answer from RAC who seem reluctant to answer any calls. My appoint ment waas over an hour ago and now I assume I will have to rebook if and when the tyre arrives. Not happy. Very poor service. Update: it got even worse, took three days to get the actual tyre fitted and numerous phone calls where I was kept waiting for up to two hours at a time. After speaking to several incompetent people finally someone sorted it. Not going through that again.

Would have been 5 stars due to being easy to use, decent price & good range of fitters. However January code to give £25 Amazon coupon on 2 Bridgestone tyres or more would not work - disappointing.
