I booked to have two tyres changed and the wheels balanced through the RAC website. This was carried out at Bathwick Tyres in Chippenham where the service was friendly and efficient despite the depot being very busy.

Bought 4 new tyres, was given a day (thursday) and time (8:30am) for fitting but when i arrived onsite was told by the fitter that they don't get much info from the 3rd party supplier so my time was for much later in the morning which i couldn't do. I booked directly with the fitter for the following tuesday at 8:30am. Came home and called RAC Tyres to be told that shouldn't be the case and the fitter should've called RAC while i was there (not my problem if your processes don't work). I also realised that i couldn't make the tuesday so mentioned I need to change it to wednesday and the customer support person said they would inform the fitter on my behalf. I received email confirmation from RAC about the change but the next day I decided to call the fitter (Because I wasn't convinced on RAC service) to confirm the change and they said they hadn't received anything and they moved my appointment.. Wednesday comes, car goes on the lift, car comes off the lift.. I ask what is wrong and get told, they don't even have the tyres!! Back home, call RAC once again and they don't know where the tyres are and that maybe they were sent back!? Why would the fitter send them back when they knew i was getting them fitted! RAC proceeded to tell me that they will call the suppliers to get proof of delivery and they would call me back.. 48hrs, still no word from RAC so I called in to cancel the order.. "Why are you cancelling?" "Because I still don't have the tyres!" "Oh, ok.. Refund will be with you in 6 working days.." So now I have to spend more money to actually get the tyres while I wait for my money to eventually be refunded! Steer well clear of this company, utter useless service, no concern for the customer, waste of time...

RAC Tyres came up cheapest on search and ProTyres were the fitters. All went smoothly and to time. Would gladly use again in future. Polite, friendly and efficient.
