"Worst place for tyres highly avoid if you can"

Bought 4 gt radials as part of a promotion £20 amazon giftcard. Still havent received it even though I bought the tyres in June and should have received it within 30 days. I emailed them and they write that give it another 2 weeks which I think they are just pushing it to the side. On another note when I purchased the tyres the dummies delivered it to the wrong place and I had to wait for them to deliver them to the correct place!!! Highly avoid

"RAC would do well to ensure their…"

RAC would do well to ensure their reputation isn't being abused. I sent two emails requesting essential rotational information. No reply to either so I have purchased my tyers elsewhere. I chose RAC because of their long standing reputation. I won't be making that mistake again.

"Truly Useless …"

First appointment tyres had not been delivered to the fitting location… no one told me so complete waste of time..

Next appointment 4 days later.. and waiting an hour for a scheduled appointment.

No apologies nothing couldn’t care less

Aweful experience, waste of time, not what I had expected a reputation like RAC

Never again is my firm recommendation

"RAC...Robbing Average Customer"

It's a shame we can't leave negative stars. Took my money over a month ago and no sign of any tyres. Sent messages and emails around 8 times and no response. So basically they have robbed me. Absalute low life's.
Now going to my credit card company to get the money back.
Disgusting behaviour. Glad I don't need them i my car fails. They probably nick the engine.

"Take Your Money But No Tyres To Fit"

Had the absolute worst customer experience with the useless RAC tyres.

Despite booking 3 weeks in advance, I arrived at a garage 8 miles away and no tyres had been delivered nor did the garage receive a heads up about the stock issue.

When back home after neither me nor the garage being able to get through to them, I was finally able to get them to answer the phone. Despite acknowledging they had made a mistake, had no other tyres to offer me, except ones at a worse rating, which they wanted me to pay more for and were not willing to offer anything to either help me get the tyres fitted today as promised or a gesture of goodwill.

Ended up having to get a refund from terrible company, please avoid at all costs.

"Booked 4 tyres. Nothing arrived. No refund"

Booked 4 tyres for fitting on 1st April. Arrived to find fitter had recieved no order and no tyres. I waited for a call to say when they would arrive but nothing. Emails and phonecalls to 0808 number are ignored or busy. I need a refund so I can get the tyres fitted elsewhere but can't get my money back because RAC tyres are ignoring me.

"RAC Tyres ordered the wrong sized tyres…"

RAC Tyres ordered the wrong sized tyres and failed to offer any compensation for the additional delays in fitting. Speaking to their customer services (eventually) they were "sorry" but were not prepared to offer any compensation and were unwilling to send an email confirming this. Terrible company. Avoid avoid avoid.

Dear RAC Tyres,
Let me be clear on this. My tyres were supposed to have been fitted on 6th April 2023 and that failure to fit the tyres on that date is a breach of contract. The problem has been compounded as you did not respond to my communications until 12th April 2023 and 18th April and these responses made no offer of compensation.

It was only through the Mobile fitter's assistance that any tyres were fitted at all (tyres the Mobile fitter ordered himself from a different company for me) - that date being 8th April, otherwise clearly the tyres ordered from you could not have been fitted until after 12th April 2023. RAC Tyres have now offered further discussions (this same response has been made to all the other recent complaints on Trustpilot) via email after this TrusPilot posting. I now await your revised consideration for compensation.

On 19th April you replied saying you would like to assist if I contacted you. I contacted you before and after by email and you have ignored my emails. The front shown on TrustPilot of being prepared to assist if I email you is simply that - a front. RAC Tyres have not responded and today is 26th April.

"Avoid at all costs!"

Ordered two premium tyres to be fitted before Easter...on day of appointment I just had a niggling suspicion that I should call the garage before turning up to avoid turning up and being told they didn't have me booked in. Good job I called because the garage told me the tyres hadn't arrived! How useless?! Why offer a time slot online during booking (and taking payment) when you can't even fulfil it? RAC emailed and gave me a new slot for two days later, without checking if this was convenient to me. It doesn't take much to ask the customer first! They didn't bother after that ...no comms...so I cancelled my order. I will now have to get the money back from my credit card provider, what a hassle...but I'll be taking them to the ombudsman for wasting my time...if I'd gone elsewhere my tyres would have been fitted by now! You've been warned...RAC Tyres are amateurs...so don't expect a positive experience. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

"Difficult to Recommend RAC."

Difficult to Recommend RAC.
Although my tyres were eventually fitted there were a number of issues that caused concern making it difficult to recommend RAC for tyres.
Ordered four tyres and was asked to select a local fitting garage. Booked date and time which was confirmed by RAC. Received a telephone call from RAC following day informing me that my selected garage no longer fitted tyres, but have found an alternative garage who could replace the tyres. A mutually convenient appointment was arranged for Saturday 25th March 2023 at 13.00. On arriving at the garage I was informed they had not been informed of my visit but had taken delivery of four tyres that matched the ones I had ordered. The garage asked if I could return Monday 27th March, unfortunately I had a hospital appointment and would be unable to return. I phoned RAC and explained the situation who in turn spoke to the garage receptionist, between them they agreed to replace my tyres if I could wait until they had a time slot: No big problem so agreed to wait. No protection was placed over the seat when the technician drove the vehicle with greasy overalls. The wheels nuts were tightened up with an impact gun, no effort was made to to check the nuts had been tightened to the correct settings with a torgue wrench. When the vehicle was driven out of the garage by greasy overall technician two valve caps were missing, these were duly replaced by the garage. Driving home the TPMS detected low pressure on the rear offside tyre, this normally clears after a few miles but on this occasion failed to reset so returned to the garage. Whilst waiting for the technician to check, front offside and rear nearside detected low pressure. These reset when I asked the technician to inflate the tyres to the manufactures recommended pressures.
I consider these to be minor annoyances but it does display a lack of general quality control both within RAC and a lackadaisical attitude by garages they subcontract to. RAC need to check quality control procedures on the garages they employ as it is the RAC's reputation that is being damaged and dragged through the mud.
