"Great Work"
Very happy with the work completed in the house. The windows look brilliant and the team that came into the house (Team 25 Craig & Stuart) were fantastic and did the work to the high standard promised to us. I would definitely recommend the service from Penicuik.

"Very happy with my new windows and…"
Very happy with my new windows and doors. Andrew the fitter worked alone and fitted 10 windows and 2 doors in two days. They are excellent and Andrew was meticulous in his work. The windows and doors are of a high standard and have really made a difference to my home.

"Great windows crap service"
Well the windows are great but the service and quality of the fitting leaves a lot to be desired and a huge hassle despite the. Saying would be hassle free

"I got windows from Penicuik back in 2015"
I got windows from Penicuik back in December 2015 unfortunately when the warranty ran out the vents on the top of both windows fell off! I called Penicuik to see what they could do but told me that the company who had fitted the windows had gone into liquidation ("Job Worth Doing") yet this company still seem to have an active website and are actually hiring staff?! Penicuik put me through to their new company who were going to charge me £100 just for coming out! I have since found a much cheaper company for the two remaining windows I still need to get fitted but have no idea why Penicuik felt the need to lie to me about their partner company. I would not recommend them after this experience as it cost me a substantial amount for the windows just to have bits fall off. The order was made in Dec 2015 and work started early 2016.I am still trying to find original paperwork but am sure you should be able to find it on your records by year and address (Broad Wynd,West Wemyss).I tried through Penicuik website but only option for callback and I work fulltime so email is better.

Wow...just he a quote for a front door and a fairly basic composite back door. . 10500 quid...seriously...and then we can match the other quotes you had at a quarter the price...lets think about it.....eh....no thank you.

"Failed to give valid quote"
A Penicuik Rep was in my area giving quotes for Windows. I'm thinking of replacing a french door soon anyway due to damage so I agreed for another colleague to come round later to measure up and give me a quote. He came soon after, spent 15 mins doing a quick measure and a demonstration of the product explaining why it's so good, which was fine. But then I did not get a proper quote. He came up with a random figure without telling me how he came by it. Nothing was itemised or described. There was no printed out mock invoive. There were no leaflets to give me information about the windows I was potentially spending thousands on, just a tatty A4 brochure that I couldn't keep, and a piece of paper which he drew a couple of squares on and scrawled out some sums. I inquired if I would keep that as my quote and was told no. Eventually I insisted on giving my email for him to send me an itemised quote so I could compare with other suppliers. I actually felt embarrassed for him being sent out by his employer so ill prepared to give the customer a proper quote. I was then asked to suggest a price that I would be willing to pay which made me suspicious. I questioned this and told him that a quote should only be based on the cost of the product, the cost of fitting and a profit margin for the company. He explained there was a pot of money to use for discounts on a first come first serve basis. At this point I got the distinct impression that he was only there to get immediate business and the promise of a free no obligation quote was probably just a front. After explaining that I hadn't even started looking and couldn't suggest a price, I eventually had to give him a hypothetical figure which I thought would be a reasonable price for this supposedly 'higher' end product, which was met by reservation and was told that was too low. He was very keen to offer finance, and even though i told him categorically that if I was to make a purchase, then it would be paid in full and nothing would be signed today, he proceeded to do some sums for finance anyway. for a theoretical £3000 purchase he wrote a figure of £54 a month for 10 years (a very long contract). He failed to mention that this would amount to £6480, over double the original credit amount. I then suggested again to just send me an email of the best price. His last ditch attempt was to offer a price lower than the hypothetical one I had just suggested and half of his original figure. This was possibly a good price but he would have been more than happy to take my money if i' d been satisfied with the first figure. At this point he'd been there well over an hour and my wife came in and told him in a roundabout polite way to get out. It's worth noting that during this experience i was asked if my wife was at home 3 times by 3 different people. I cannot convey my opinion as to why they were so interested in my wife being at home as it is in breach of trustpilots' t+c's but I'm sure you can imagine. I hate to think of how many people have payed thousands over market value after being pressured by one of these salesman. My advice would be to stay well clear. Advice to Penicuik would be to set aside some funds to repay all the customers who've been pressured into signing expensive finance contracts as I can imagine that one day, **comment removed due to trustpilot t+c's**. Judging by the other 1 star reviews, I don't expect to ever get my email quote.

"We had 2 full diamond leaded Windows…diamond leaded windows"
We had 2 full diamond leaded Windows fitted. Everything went well and I filled in the survey which promised a£10 Amazon gift card. Contract number was U 001603. No voucher has come despite repeated promises to see to it. I know this is not much to make a fuss over but we feelPenicuik should have fulfilled what they promised. Our full names are Douglas and Katie MacKeddie.
