Installers were first rate,doing an excellent job and left house
clean and tidy.
I would use them again and have my recommendation.

"Good but not great"

The windows are good though expensive. A few areas of concern for me around the sales process:

1) sales person said, “we don’t use expandable foam in installation process”. Em, yes you do.
2) sales person said, “we use local workmen”. If 50 miles away is local, then I guess that’s true.
3) sales person either didn’t know what APR is, or was trying to mislead me.

As for the installation process:

1) Guys turned up late, but made good time once they got going - despite one of them having to go to A&E after a Stanley knife incident!
2) Zero penicuik branding - I assume they were contractors but couldn’t be sure
3) Zero evidence of PPE
4) Got a handful of keys chucked at me and told they all worked all of the windows
5) Could have made a better job of tidying up after themselves.

Anyway, as I say the windows look great and the sound proofing pretty decent. However, at the end of the day I think I could have got as good windows elsewhere for less money.

From our first quote our experience with Penicuik has been fantastic. The doors and windows were fitted within 2 days and of very good quality. The after care was also excellent, although we do have a scratch on 2 of the pains of glass they said they would replace the glass and are still awaiting but will let you know how this goes

Paul and Shane fitted my glass conservatory roof and I am very pleased with their work. They were very efficient and worked non stop even through challenging weather conditions. They respected my property and left having cleared up behind them. I would also like to mention the electrician Davy and Siobhan from the office, they also provided a great service. Thanks to them all for making this whole process for me stress free.

Shocking I had a visit from their salesman on 31st March to sell me windows. After several hours of last offer in the area and speaking to his manager I was told this was a one off offer not be missed as they needed to make sales targets, I was pressured to sign up and paid what I was told as a deposit. Waiting in all day Monday for a surveyor to come out this came and went. I then called on Tuesday and was advised they could not get me a credit facility, I have never received a letter advising me of this so I don't even know if they have done any applications. I believe that this is a scam because the deposit I then asked for back is a non refundable admin fee which i was not advised at the time. Who in their right mind would pay a non refundable fee off £299. My number is now blocked by their salesman and they do not return any of my calls or emails. Wish I had read reviews before letting this company come into my home!! Alarm bells should have rang when they told me this was a government scheme and they were in my area to then find out on a call before the salesman arrived this is not how the discount is applied. Do not use this company they are the most unethical company I have ever dealt with. Come in to your home and mis sell you then change the goal posts and finally just ignore you. Save the hassle I have had and avoid at all costs. PENICULK HAVE REVIEWED THIS AS THEY HAVE ASKED ME TO REMOVE THE SALESMAN NAME HOWEVER THEY DON'T HAVE TIME OR COURTESY TO REPLY TO ME AFTER STEALING £299 STAY WELL CLEAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

"ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE"

The product can be described as average, not as sound proof as stated and draughts around the frames however, a window was damaged and the fitters stated it would be replaced within 2 weeks. 3 months later numerous phone calls and guarantees it would be fixed on specific days with days taken off work and no shows. Not even a phone call with an explanation. Take the money and run, the worst customer service and followup action I have ever experienced. Disgusted. They even had the gall to cold call me and offer a discount if I ordered more of their product.
