Really pleased with our windows...the skylights are great...the job didn't take to long (2 days) but wrong skirting size came and had to be replaced but arrived within their time at my house and also two large panes of glass has to yet be replaced.....the men were quick and efficient....would use than again...hiccups happen

Windows look really great and are of a high quality. Workmen were really good and tidied up after themselves. Happy with service provided. Got a good deal from the company. Originally I had booked the windows but made to cancel after reading old reviews about the company when it was owned by someone else. A company rep and I spoke about it, he reassured me the company was back in safe hands so I took a chance...and, so far (the windows are only just in), the service has been great.

I worked as a joiner years ago and I do know something about windows therefore got quotes from few local companies as well as spinning cake and Everest. The most expensive was Everest and then one of the local companies. The difference in quality between locals and a big companies was huge. I did get a few cheap records from locals indeed but decided to go for Penicuik because of the quality of the window and the length of time the company's been on the market. Extremely happy with instalation everything is left clean and tidy. Superb quality and workmanship. Bad points - not the cheapest but quality compromises it

Sales manager very accommodating with requests and the fitting service provided including the survey were excellent

Courteous and professional and did a good job, however can only give three stars since cashback mentioned by the Rep has not materialised. If i remember the figure mentioned was £150 and that a cheque would be sent.

Craig Cameron was excellent when installing a new inner porch door and windows. He was diligent, informative and, obviously enjoyed his job. He was a credit to his company.

All in all, the sales experience was good, albeit a lengthy evening session (2-3 hours). The installation was excellent.

There were a few things we noted in the sales meeting which we were then told by the surveyor and installation team wouldn't happen;

1. The sales person said scaffold would be installed on the outside of the building to accommodate external installations rather than installing from the inside - no scaffold was ever used and all the installations were done from the inside.
2. We had agreed with the sales person that trickle vents weren't required on the windows but this is a legal requirement as we were told by the surveyor.
3. The installation was carried out over 2 days, a Friday and Tuesday although we were told by the sales person it would be done over a weekend as part of the deal. We were told by the installation team they very rarely work weekends.
4. The sales person told us we wouldn't require a building warrant for changing our rear window into patio doors. the surveyor then told we would which in total, required additional expense to get drawings completed and building warrant approved.

We are now receiving a lot of calls about more Penicuik products, most of which we don't require. It's just a case of ensuring they are aware so as not to constantly call you back.

Despite those minor points, the windows and doors we had installed are excellent and will do us for life!
