"Friendly, efficient and responsive"

Got my windows and french doors done. Guys who came to do the job were really efficient and pleasant. Some decorative damage to the walls when they were fitting/removing the windows and they will send a plasterer out to do the necessary. Did notice today that a part of the frame that holds the glass is bent and potentially a damaged seal. The guys at Penicuik have been responsive and are sending someone out to fix the walls and look at the frame promising to change or fix - giving them 4 stars for now until the repair work has been carried out.

"Fine until something goes wrong!"

We had windows, front door and French Doors fitted in March 2017. Everything has been fine until last month when I noticed a gap in the French Doors. I phoned Penicuik to arrange for someone to come out only to be told that as they had gone into liquidation our guarantee was no longer valid. They could send someone out at an initial charge of £100. Since I phoned them we have had 2 phone calls from Penicuik to say we have £500 in our account towards any work we may want to have done. I am appalled that we no longer have any guarantee when we spent a substantial amount of money for them. Be warned!

UPDATE - FRIDAY 4 MAY
Penicuik customer services emailed me following the above review asking for my contract number. I was hopeful that they would be able to help, but I heard nothing after that. I had my own joiner come out yesterday to see if he could rectify the problem, but it appears that the French doors were measured incorrectly and they have been fitted at an angle so there is no way the gap can be closed. I phoned Penicuik yesterday to tell them this, but they are still denying all responsibility. My only option now is to pay for a set of French doors. It's a pity there are no minus stars on Trustpilot - I will never recommend Penicuik to anyone.

"Absolute bunch of cowboys! Don’t bother with them"

Absolute bunch of cowboys!! Got my windows through them. Wind howls in living room window that we have to put on extra heaters and sit with blankets. Front bedroom window bows and kitchen window leaks when it’s raining but this seem to be acceptable! Windows were fitted by their company of choice, which were job worth doing. Was told they went into liquidation so our 10 year guarantee couldn’t be honoured. Was then informed to talk to the finance company. This we did and was told they weren’t obliged to get them sorted. So we have spent money on windows that are rubbish.

I have just had a back door fitted and am extremely delighted with it. Mind you I had an excellent fitter Jamie who also sorted some of my other things done by Penicuik. He was excellent, very clean worker as well, left everything very tidy.

The team of Rick,David and Sean did a very good job installing our windows. They worked quickly, were friendly and cheerful and cleared up any mess they had made. They turned up on time and were helpful answering any queries we had. There is just the surrounds outside to be completed after the Easter break, but I'm confident this will get done quickly.

Paul and Shayne did a marvellous job, we are really pleased with the conservatory, I wasn’t so impressed with the builders they were working in awful weather conditions but when the weather improved and they didn’t return despite a number of calls, they kept saying they would be there on a certain day and not turn up which was very frustrating but once all the buildin* work was done it was a smooth process.

These windows are lovely,sales rep explained every little thing, can't say the same for surveyor never explained a thing about windows or fittings,work was carried out over 2 days lovely bunch of men and clean no complaints on workmanship excellent.
