"Cancelled contract and poor customer care when called back"
Had the whole house windows replaced and was happy with the job done. Agreed for Penicuick to come back and look at replacing Conservatory after phone call from sales team. Agreed a price and signed the contract and paid deposit of 20%. Got a phone call back a few days later to say they had worked out the price incorrectly "could not do it for that price" and were cancelling the contract.
I called the 0141 number back a few days later to say I had not received my deposit back and was very disappointed with the attitude and tone of the conversation. it will take 5 to 10 days... if you don't like it you can phone head office!!
UPDATE
My credit card statement came through showing the deposit of £1,259 leaving the account on the 7th January. REFUND came through on the 27th January for £!,160? NO PHONE CALL & NO EXPLANATION 20 days later and for lee than I paid - WHAT IS GOING ON?

Windows were fitted upside down....
Plasterers let us down at the last minute after we took time off work.
Never knew if we were dealing with Penicuik, Weatherseal or Job worth doing.
Girls in the office clearly out of their depth from their organisational skills to promising to return calls.
Follow up calls from Sales people very rude and abrupt.
Company even addressing us with the wrong names...

"Porch"
I am pleased with the porch but there are a couple of things not finished really. My security light has been disconnected over the roof of the porch and the socket is left open and exposed to the elements. I wanted the electrician to come back and re position the security light to the side of the porch and the wall light I got does not work as I hoped so I need to get that taken off and a new one installed. I was to get the number for the electrician but not got it from Penicuik yet. The floor is still not fully dried out yet since the foundations were built in really wet weather and it's been raining ever since the work was started. The porch looks lovley and I am happy with it, but would like the outstanding issues sorted.

"New front door."
The door I had fitted is great but if I was to complain about the job, it was a minor point of an internal door facing strip which followed a bulge over the skirting block at the bottom. I felt the joiner should have cut a notch out of the skirting to straighten up the leg of the door trim. The door frame sealant was still wet and I thought it would be too much hassle or messy to mention the problem to the Joiner. Otherwise, the rest of the job was well done and the door does keep out the draughts.

"What i discussed with the salesman didn't get passed onto the instalation team."
The finish i discussed with the salesman didnt get passed onto the instalation team. When i challenged it i was told that i had aggreed to it on the survey for when they use a code number for the finish ( how would i know what their codes stand for ), i wanted a full wood finish, as what the salsemans for stated. Also i agreed a maximum price of £2000.00 and was told that the admin fee was built into this, but no, they took it out of my accoung allong with the 10% deposit, again i was told it was my fault. as i had signed the form! till waiting for them to come back and fix a window sill.

"Quick and Easy"
I choose Penicuik to replace my windows throughout my home.
The sales guys and conveyors were great explaining everything throughout the process.
The workmen were great turned up on time and completed their work with in one day even tidying up after themselves.
The after care has been great also with follow up contact from the organisation and the added bonus of them arranging for plaster work to be fixed at no extra cost.
It was only 3 weeks from the first visit to the work being carried out.
I have been that happy with my experience I have now placed another order for further work to be completed.

"Patio Doors"
Overall good product and installation but two minor flaws. 1. Installers covered telephone and data cables with facia board without saying what they were doing as I would have moved the cables. 2. Did not say they had damaged cement facing on external wall and filled with expanding foam.
