"Good work and good windows."

We were 90% pleased with our windows. Unfortunately our big lounge window was not as in the plan and so had to be refitted.
The workmen who fitted the windows were very professional and the work was of a high standard. We would recommend them

"Never finished the work"

French doors fitted and the job was never finished. They also tried to plaster and did it in the rain and it all washed off all over the new doors. Almost 2 months later, I am still waiting for the plaster to be cleaned off, re plastered and the silicon work has still not taken place. This is probably the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Over promise and under deliver. Will never use or recommend this company.

The windows supplied were of an excellent quality and installed quickly by two well mannered fitters who clearly knew their business. I'm completely satisfied with all aspects of my dealings with Penicuik.

"No Windows Yet"

It is now over 3 months since sale, and window installation date is unknown.

We are still expecting good quality windows at a fair price ... but to-date there have been Penicuik errors at every milestone. Original contract was proven undeliverable at survey stage (casement windows not made for our sizes). Specified hardware (brass) was found to be not available when installation date confirmed. Window design/build was found to be not in accordance with survey specifications in contract (found one day prior to installation because I insisted on seeing windows in warehouse before they were installed ... astragal type windows were built with 9 panes per glass panel vs 6). Factory is re-making windows to the specification and the installation date has not get been communicated.

All of the above make me nervous that there will be yet more surprises before the process is complete.

On a positive note, no payment has yet been made and none will be required until windows are installed.

The workmen were very friendly. They installed my windows with no issues and cleaned up after themselves. I have been ill recently and was unable to do anything so before they left the men put up brackets for vertical blinds (couldn't be hung until next day) and put up roller blinds to help my wife

Order process was simple and straightforward with no pressure. Once the order was made, the lead time until installation was remarkably short and the installation itself was speedily completed with all of the old windows removed from site and everything left neat and tidy. The staff concerned, in all departments, showed a first class level of customer care.
