The new windows not only enhance the appearance of my house but also will increase the value of my house , beyond the value of the installation. The installers were clean efficient and most pleasant, and I will have no hesitation in recommending Penicuik to others should I be approached by anyone who might ask me for my opinion .I now also look to a reduction in the cost of heating.

"Double glazed windows"
Sample of Salesman window was triple glazed but once fitted the joiners informed me that the windows installed were double glazed. Felt that after paying almost 6000 pounds for 5 windows and set of patio doors I should have had windows as per sample shown, whether the double glazed ones fitted are any more superior to the triple glazed is unsure. Attempting to contact customer service and speaking to the right person proved difficult.
I would have hoped for some sort of a written agreement on the quality and make of the received goods and a warranty to cover failure should it occur.(Otherwise no problem with contractors work done well)

Penicuik came on time and did a very good professional job. They tidied up afterwards and removed all the debris from the old windows. I would use them again

The doors were ordered and fitted but without the knocker and spy hole which were on the order. I cannot get an answer by phone nor can I get the email to send on the customer services website.
I was promised by the workman that he would contact me and it has not happened. Not Happy.

"Composite and UPC doors"
Doors are good quality and do look very nice but not very impressed with the customer service. Doors fitted but composite door is damaged and UPC door and surrounds are scratched. Fed back on customer charter and phoned twice. Still waiting on return phone call to get doors fixed (been 3 and half weeks) not very impressed :(

Excellent work ( I paid the max for it being perfect and quick). Quite unfriendly chief of staff, but was not expecting more (I was too as my baby was screaming the entire night) and more important is the work perfectly done. Blinds not reassembled- not in contract but would have taken 2 min each. No customer service after work done - asked for advice on payments but in 2 weeks not received, too late. Good for landlords and people with babies = expensive quick work.

Cannot fault the company on the installation etc, tidy workmen & window mechanism explained etc. However emails re crumbling brickwork took long to reply to. Maybe once they have your money they couldnt care less, ive had a brickie look at this said it was shocking!! Cant believe a big company like this have no after sales interest!!
