each step happened as discussed. salesman, surveyor and fitters excellent . Only complaint would be the after sales call to give us a quotation for future windows etc . I did not want to arrange a visit because I had no intension of getting more work done. Unfortunately the call came to arrange this visit and was not welcome and ended up a bit heated.

"New French Window"
Although bad weather delayed the installation initially as soon as it was moderate two teams arrived and the old window and frames taken out and the new installed in half a day. Quick efficient and all cleaned up afterwards.
The window and surrounds look great and we now have a strong and of course weatherproof window.

"Get rid of the Dodgy sales patter"
The problem with the big companies is that they send out these sales people that are only interested in making money. You get all the jargon, starts off at thousands then when you wont budge they finally agree to your price. It was a lot of hard work and I almost didn't go through with it because of having to do it. With a smaller company they just tell you how much it will cost and that's that.
I wish big companies would get the message that we aren't stupid and hate being made to feel that way.

"Excellent installation, questionable price."
The price agreed was £6300 because a '£2000 grant' was ostensibly given - this was, I now think, mere game playing. Then, because I opted for purchase over 120 months, the price jumped £700 to £7000. And this when the interest rate is already 20%. NOT good.
The installers were excellent. The job was done in one and a bit days, with only minimal damage to the woodwork. Some of the materials were not perfect: one air vent is smashed and the plastic seals at the bottom of each window are curled over, possibly from poor storage. Otherwise nothing else has as yet appeared.

"Disappointed with after sales service"
Would not recommend
Work completed in 1 day on 9/12/15 but required 4 visits (2 inspections and 2 repairs) which took 2 months to rectify faults - to our cost as we had to take days off work with appointments between 9am & 5pm as they could not or would not give a time slot - not good enough. Very disappointing as you think you are getting Windows manufactured by Penicuik Windows - not the case. Trading on a quality name!

"Prompt service with only minor issues"
I was pleased with the speedy way the order was dealt with. The installers arrived on schedule and did the work without fuss. One minor point: putting the dust sheets down before general entry would have been preferable.
The window is fine, but the locking mechanism on the back door is very stiff and I hope it gets easier with use.
I have had a number of phone calls from other traiders knowing Ihad had work done. I was not pleased with this, especially one who asked what I had paid, which of course I did not divulge.

"Overall good but could be better"
Sales process was good this time around, survey was good, quick timescales, installers were punctual and rang to let us know when to expect them. Whole process took 2 days, points to improve on? Guys didn't Hoover up after themselves and the windows were quite dirty after installation - how about a dedicated clean up team following afterwards to make the most of the new Windows. We also had to arrange (& pay) to have the alarm sensors reinstalled, perhaps could be incorporated as part of the end-to-end service? Would I recommend them? I already have...

"Annoying"
Since getting this window we have had nothing but nuisance calls from this firm even though we keep telling them that we do not need anything else yet we still get calls twice a day. They have even passed our number onto other companies and now they keep calling. We have been forced to purchase a call blocker. Very distressing
