"Sorely Disappointed!"

Purchased windows and front door. Door handle broke off from inside and had no way to get out without assistance from an outsider at 6am this morning. So glad there was nothing more serious taking place in my home as we are a one up flat. We had door installed three years ago. Over these last three years had constant phone calls regarding a £500 cash/discount towards more work under the 'Penicuik' name. Only found out today that 'Penicuik' has gone bust and therefore, guarantee null and void. Surely, in this day and age there has to be something to protect the buyers. Can you please advise on these situations that whereby customers make purchases such as these when they come with a 10 year guarantee, should the buy-out company take on that liability?

I would definitely recommend this company to anyone as they are very professional in what they do.
As soon as my door was measured they contacted myself and kept me updated on the installation.
The installation was meant to happen when we had really bad snow cover. They were very apologetic concerning the snow. I only had to wait another 4 days to get my door installed where the joiner done a fantastic job and cleared up after himself.
