"terrible, ten year guarantee is lies"

Absolutely fuming with Penicuik. Paid £900 for a new back door which now has a huge draught coming through it. Telephoned company as I believed I had a 10 year guarantee only to be told that the company with same name has gone bust & I would have to pay £100 call-out charge just to look at it. My door was only fitted 8 months ago, the contract was signed on 27th June 2017 & new company will only honor guarantees from 1st July. Yet I have seen similar cans carrying out replacement doors/windows so what a joke! I will never recommend Penicuik to anyone unless someone comes to look at my door as I believed I had over 9 years left on warranty.

We were 'Sold' an "Interest Free for 7 Months" full windows and doors Package.
The Installation Process was an absolute joke, cancelling us twice on the day of install due to missing parts, then the snagging took Months to get done.
We have Called the finance company to pay off our loan to be told that it was never Interest Free in the First Place.

When we contacted Penicuik to find out why we had been mid sold, we were told that the Company that Installed our Windows was Penicuik Home Improvements Limited (Entu Group) and they had gone into administration but is now operating under the name Penicuik Home Improvements (Clearwin Group)...a completely different company apparently.
This means our Warranty is now Void and we are an additional £1500.00 in Interest out on our Windows.
That know exactly what they are doing.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND GET YOUR LOCAL WINDOW INSTALLERS TO DO YOUR WORK. PENICUIK ARE A DISASTER TO DEAL WITH!!

"Company went bust last September"

Company gone bust and have voided 10 year warranty. Although the name is the same, and the uniforms of the workers, they sold the name only, and have no obligation to honour previous contracts. Have had to get snagging issues, ie draughty doors, and all window sills replaced by contacting finance company, who have paid for the remedial work. So glad that I didn't pay with savings. Penicuik refùsed to honour warranty and would only rectify issues if I paid for them. Work completed now, but it has taken a year of worry and stress.

"Top quality company"

From start to finish I have been really impressed with Penicuik .. From the sales agent getting us the best deals to the fellas that came and fitted my doors and windows.. Brian, Davie & Mark. Top quality windows excellent Finnish and not a bit of mess insight.. very happy with the whole process.. would highly recommend Penicuik .

"Terrible company seemingly “bust”"

Got a front and back door put in summer 16 handle broke off front door today and when phoned to see about getting it fixed under the 10 year warranty was told Penicuik out of business and another company bought over and warranty now been void and we are still paying for the bloody doors and told to phone about to see about getting it fixed as may be cheaper absolute disgrace of a company would not recommend anyone to get anything from here!!!!!!!


Won’t let me reply to your comment but a sorry doesn’t fix my door and I’m now out of pocket for having having to get new handle absolute shocking customer service!!! Worst company I have dealt with no care for customers at all but happy to take the cash!!! Pathetic!!!

Sales, product quality and installation by Stevie were all very good. Unfortunately very frequent follow up calls to try and sell me more products were very annoying and unnecessary. Sort out the sales call centres. No means no.

In December 2017 and January 2018 I used Penicuik to replace my back door and surrounding three panes, on either side and above the door, as well as a bathroom window and a single bedroom window. On both occasions the team arrived on time and carried out the work very expertly and efficiently.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Just want to say that we are delighted with our new door and window.They were expertly fitted by Stuart and Craig who were very efficient, courteous and tidy. There was no mess left, an indication of a job well done.

Fitters were on time, in fact early. Very friendly and professional. There was minimal disruption. Delighted with the windows and have had neighbours commenting on them. I would strongly recommend Penicuik windows.

Just had 12 windows and a new front door fitted by Kevin and Lee Riddoch and would like to say what a brilliant job they made. Superb craftsmanship. Both worked non stop, made a great job and left no mess. Cannot recommend them enough. Thanks again for doing such a great job.
