Tried to get anonline quote and this fradster company based in Cheshire supposedly had someone in my area (Glasgow) with in 10mins so I though maybe coincidentally there was but he came and no tape measure just going on about how I owed him £199 for admin fee and I had to sign some papers before he left told him to get the **** out! Avoid at all cost!

Was wary after reading the reviews but just got my whole house done last week and I'm really really pleased with the standard of the work from start to finish, will definitely be recommending penicuik to family and friends !

After at least 6 months the job had not been totally completed. Then we were told that the company name had been sold to new owners and any remedial work would be charged at an hourly rate by Jobsworth Doing.! This company had an inability to communicate with its customers- I certainly could not recommend this organisation.

We have just had our windows installed and we could not be happier. Everything went to plan and the product was exactly as expected. Fitters, Danny and Dillon, were local guys and very experienced, helpful and courteous. Explained every step and asked our opinion before carrying out various options. They tidied every evening before leaving and removed all waste products.

Avoid at all costs.French doors weren't fitted properly,which resulted in damp damage to our walls and furniture.Eventually got the doors fitted properly,after two years,but we're still waiting on compensation for the damage and inconvenience caused.They have now told us that their holding company has gone bust therefore they are not liable for any previous clients.
Appalling company to deal with so avoid at all costs.
The last time i posted on here it was removed due them saying there wasn't enough detail,well the contract number is at the top of the page,which will give you all the detail you need.

Shocking!! split door panel for over a whole year- countless phone calls made - given excuse after excuse - passed the buck from one dept / person to the other-made endless promises and reassurances to order and fix panel now only to be told as firm has gone into administration they will not fix it - but if I pay them £390!! They "might" manage to come to an arrangement!!...Think they owe me that amount ( at least) to replace rotten floor boards and fit new linoleum!!
Advice-NEVER TRUST PENICUIK WINDOWS or any other firm trading under parent company....Do not believe anything any of the staff tell you...liars !!

This company has the worst customer service I have ever come across.i would advise everyone to give them a wide berth.4 phone calls and an email and i am still waiting to speak to someone.

The salesmen were to come round for an hour today to measure windows and give us a quote after being cold called by their salesman the day before. 2.5 hours later still no tape measure in hand and still reeling on about the product. We had to ask them to leave. We would not recommend letting this company into your house!

I had my windows fitted in May of this year, we have 3 young kids and the house was always cold so we felt May was a good time to get them replaced in time for the cold weather coming.
We decided to go with Penicuik windows and it is the worse decision i have made in my life.
The windows were fitted then required to be re-fitted as they were rushed and embarrassingly finished. Every window in my house had to have the plaster around them touched up (again done badly)
I have signed documents to say i am due a £500 refund because of the inconvenience caused but have never received.
I called today to chase this up and was told because they are now owned by a new company i will not receive this and my 10 year warranty that came with the windows is now also void.
I feel cheated and embarrassed by all this, 3 of my family members worked for penicuik windows years ago and it used to be a great company.
Myself and my wife do not make a great deal of money and knew the window needed replaced. forgetting the £500 im still due i feel forking out all this money for a product less than 5 moths old that no longer has a warranty is not good enough.
I would appreciate if someone from Penicuik could contact me on my situation.

ENTU goes bust and Penicuik for the 3rd time rises again with a new owner Clearwin Ltd. An off the shelf £100.00 company with 1 director who / has been a director of 110 companies some dissolved some gone into liquidation So is Penicuik number 3 a quality company who will honour their warranties.!!!! .I gave them a deposit of £3000 in april PC28341 and the name entu appears no where.
Steer clear of this crowd. they even had the cheek to phone me to get me to continue with the new Penicuik ........... All warranties from previous penicuik companies are now worthless and you are left to pick up the pieces yourself. The same people are still selling to the public insisting that the new new new Penicuik under clearwin ltd will of course honour warranties as Clearwin have a long reputation for customer service. The long reputation is around 4 weeks.... The age of the company... very few compliments in trust pilot
