"Good service"

Beginning was good 😊 in picking the windows we requested no hard sell and no not leaving till you buy.
Unfortunately the windows were measured wrong so when the windows came they didn't fit. But after apologys and a discount for our upset every thing was remesured after a wait was refitted. Very pleased with our new windows plus we decided to have a new door also which is perfect.

"Rude and pushy"

Had someone round to give a quote for replacing 6 windows. He insulted our flat, and the kind of neighbours he assumed we must have, repeatedly the whole hour he was there.
He even asked 'why we had chosen to live in this building' as if the obvious answer wasn't because it's the only place we could afford.
On top of that, over quoted us hugely, insulted other companies in the area by name, and tried the whole 'this price only for today' spiel. With the price doubling if we didn't sign then and there.
Avoid.

"Problems so far."

The door has not been properly hung and it rubs the frame at the top. This will probably get worse. We are not impressed with the windows the black spacing material between the glass is not level, above the frame in some places and well below in others. None of the double glazing we have had before was as irregular as these. Nobody has contacted us to remedy the situation.

The window fitters arrived on time and fitted our 5 windows within
one day with very little mess or inconvenience to us. I would
certainly use Penicuik again in the future and I will recommend them
to my friends.

Workers very pleasant and arrived when expected. Work was done to good standard. We have a problem with door we are awaiting call back. Would say not impressed by after sales experience

Doors great Windows fine. Were asked to sign completion certificate halfway through the job even though we could not access back of house due to scaffolding. Once this was removed we found damage on the kitchen window frame showing white through rose wood colour which is extremely noticeable. 'Garry' the manager noticed we needed a plasterer to repair damage to the front window sill (later also found more damage external rear window sill and internal in the kitchen. As Garry had noticed this if was not mentioned in our paperwork cause the boss already knows. We have 1 gilt handle in a sea of chrome. The rear window sill has a large scratch on it. The garden and drive were filled with off cuts, nails, screws and adhesive putty. The salesman told us he would give us a free replacement service for the first year we now have a bill for this. We have phoned the emergency contact number and have not been able to get a response. We can not understand why we were pressurised into signing the contract early and now apart from salesmen we can not seem to get an answer from the company. Shame as product good. We have waited some time now as Penicuik said they would be in touch, they haven't. Now my only option is to cancel direct debit until something is done so we have contacted Penicuiks credit suppliers and informed them they are getting nothing until we receive compensation as I want no further dealings with these cowboys

"Placed an order yesterday but due to …"

Placed an order yesterday but due to circumstances had to cancel. Manager phoned just as I was going out and as I did not wish to discuss why I cancelled he got rather upset. Moaned about the time the agent was at my house said he had missed a later appointment which he left in plenty time to get to. Told me to return catalogue then said I was a waste of time. Very very rude and at that I hung up. Had similar experience from penicuik windows many years ago and had I known who had called me would not have given them the time. Certainly would not recommend them

"Not to be trusted. False advertising"

Had windoes and doors fitted end of may 17. Team of fitters were really good. Aftercare is a joke have phoned numerous times and emailed. Got reply to emails advising to call to sort the problem. Cant get a hold of the manager. Totally frustrated. Wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. They are diabolical. Lets see what response i get from this
