We currently have a mortgage with Rocket. They have always been great to work with. They are excellent at communicating with their clients- timely, relevant information and very responsive - from the first phone call to closing. When we decided to buy a vacation home, Rocket was the only mortgagor we considered.

It started out very good dealing with person. This should have been a quick transaction as we already had a loan with you, our credit rating was excellent, bills always paid on time. Instead it lingered on to nearly a month over something that was brought up in our initial conversation and after was never communicated that you didn't have. I found your form of communication once docs submitted, through emails & texts, never a person, to be very impersonal. I felt like I had to constantly check my emails and then task to see if something new popped up. I don't like the chats online, it takes so long to type the conversation and to get you point across. Can be very frustrating. This transaction to about double the time it should have.

"Made Process Easy"

Michael Chambers made the process easy from the start. He guided me through the process, always available if I had a question. All other people that worked on my account were available and easy to speak to.

"Could be great but …"

Seems like a good company and I did make the decision to go ahead and get my mortgage with them.

I did had an issue regarding property (an extra lot I own) being adding to the deal that I stressed from the beginning I did not want included. When I reviewed the final documentation, before signing, it was included and that delayed the completion of the paperwork and transaction.

Additionally, I also took money out to pay off some credit cards. What Rocket Mortgage does is send you checks, in the companies name for you to send to your credit card companies. This causes delays as well as the potential for the checks to get lost, even if you get a tracking number!! This seems to be the case right now for me as one of the payoff checks has been misplaced!!!

Rocket Mortgage can make this process a lot simpler by direct depositing this money into the borrowers bank account and then you could pay the amounts online and send Rocket verification it was paid.

Since this simple process didn’t take place I’m giving Rocket Mortgage a lower review since I’m having to waste my time with fighting to locate one of the payoff checks!

"Communication wasn't that great"

Communication wasn't that great. Loan person was very short with me and really didn't seem to care. Having to use paper checks to pay off accounts really sucks. That was a pain in the ass and cost me more money in the long run. There has to be a way to do it electronically.

"Jennifer Gapasin was a Godsend to me"

Jennifer Gapasin was a Godsend to me. She was very helpful and assisted me every step of the way with my home equity loan. This was my first time to apply on line and and she was definitely very patient with me in assisting me to complete my tasks.
Lori was also a big help in explaining what needs to be done with closing of the loan.
Estelle Ballejos was very thorough and efficient in assisting me with signing the closing of the loan.
Steven J Wood was also very professional and efficient in doing the appraisal of our home.
All in all, my experience in applying for a home equity loan was a great one and I am very grateful to Jennifer Gapasin for her professionalism, patience and accomodating attitude in helping me achieve my goal in home loan.
I will definitely share my experience with Rocket Mortgage and recommend your company to my friends and relatives.

"Rocket Mortgage is company to use for refinancing needs!"

We were hesitant to use Rocket Mortgage for our refinancing needs due to not knowing much about the company BUT so glad we did! No duplication of paperwork, no difficulty with home insurance requirements; no aggravating phone calls and VERY quick turn around of funds. Highly recommend above other mortgage companies. Only inconvenience was an overly detailed appraisal, but considering what we had been through with Chase Mortgage, still preferable over other companies!
