I understand if things go on back order. The part that made me annoyed was that you kept cancelling my subscription order instead of just holding and delaying my order until the items came back in stock again. Other than that I like your products and will continue to use them.

Placed an order on 02/24/25 and next day got a voicemail "Please give us a call at 1-800-880-4808 because "our order department needs to verify the order before shipping for billing purposes" - what the hell is that??? Are you serious and confirm every online order? No wonder that is it impossible to get someone on the line when calling provided number - everybody is doing busy work.
Called 4 times - no answer. Send 2 emails to order at freedrinkingwater.com - no reply.
Is it a legit company or a scam?
Karen or whoever from the service department - don't ask me to call your help line, I tried multiple times.

"I really wanted to like my tabletop…"
I really wanted to like my tabletop ROCT-PLUS RO water system as the alternative would be using a PUR/BRITA filter or purchasing a different brand. However, the customer experience so far is making me think twice.
Pros: Great aesthetics, easy to use/refill. Reasonable price, considering that the filters can last for a year.
Cons: Terrible customer/technical support - sent them 3 emails and got 0 response. My water quality indicator keeps turning red (I've only used this water system for a month so I doubt it's a water filter issue) and I want to know if there's something wrong with the water itself or the machine, but I'm not getting the response I need to troubleshoot this. This isn't mentioned in the product manual either.

"Placed 3 orders in the past month"
Placed 3 orders in the past month. First order was for various fitting and tubes to rebuild my system damaged after a flood. That order was cancelled by APEC due to parts not available. Past a 2nd order for a 6-filter replacement kit, of which 2 of the 6 filters were damaged. Sent an email through their website requesting replacement of the 2 damaged filters and never heard back. Placed 3rd order for an RO storage tank 11 days ago and have not received. Sent another email through the website. Needed to buy a new whole house water softener but can't rely on them with this level of response.

"Bye-bye CT-2000 filter system"
This co makes the CT-2000 which is a great filtering system for countertop, but in 2024 suddenly the replacement filters were getting hard to find and were around $85. A brand new system is now about $110. So instead of being able to buy just a filter, the company seems to be fine with their system going in a landfill because you're forced to by an entire new system and not just the filter. All else is RO systems. It would be nice if their site said they were discontinuing the CT-2000. I'd guess they're just selling them until the inventory is cleared out. I'm not taking my money here anymore. It was a good run while it lasted.

I have used Apec RO systems for years. They are solid & work well.
Recently bought new system R0 90,
Works very well, when I needed some tech support they were right back to me with directions.
