I received 5 star customer service when moving to Outfox the Market on the recommendation of Which? Switch. If they continue in this way, providing prompt, intelligent responses that aren't based on cut-and-paste standard phrases I'll continue to be a happy new customer.

"Angry"

I found out in December that Foxglove had taken over my account without my permission. I have had no correspondence whatsoever from this company and now I’m running up bills that I’ve never had due to always being pre payment meters. I would like to know where you got the permission from.

"Not the good deal that you might think"

This company has traded and does trade as Economy 7, Beat the market and Foxglove Energy. There may be more but I was with Economy 7 for nearly two years. Initially the price was the best, as found on the citizens advice impartial comparison site. However after three months the prices charged increased and this happened every 3-6 months even where electricity prices were falling elsewhere. Eventually I checked again on the comparison site and found I was paying nearly twice as much as I needed to. I asked Foxglove to explain and refund the overcharge but this was not resolved to my satisfaction as no proper calculation was provided. I therefore left Foxglove and started a complaint with the Ombudsman which has not yet made a judgement. I moved to the Symbiotic company who were the cheapest and now after three months I have received notification of a large price increase. My unhappy conclusion is that some and perhaps many of these new entrants into the energy market are using the business model so beloved of the insurance industry. You are lured by a low price initial offer and then you will be put on a 3-6 month price escalator that will result in you paying very high prices. This is clearly not in the consumers interest but as the insurance industry has maintained this business model for decades I think we can assume that this is now the new normal for the energy supply industry.

"Foxglove Energy have outfoxed themselves - dreadful service"

I have finally decided to switch my energy supplier from Foxglove Energy after years of poor service. The last straw came with their rebranding to OutfoxtheMarket. It is evident that this rebranding has been poorly thought out, and is only partially implemented. I had three accounts with them, and with the rebrand they managed to accidentally cancel my direct debit for one account, and render my account details inaccessible for another.

"The energy supplier is great!"

I was 'switched' to Shell Energy by my previous supplier and Shell were truly awful and hideously expensive. I decided to try Foxglove (soon to be known as Outfox) and the whole experience was swift and painless, the rates are far far more reasonable than the awful Shell, and their live chat system is great. Don't have to hang about on hold listening to elevator music, everything I've needed done has been achieved in minutes by someone on the end of the live chat line. Today was no exception, I live chatted with Nadeem and he completely clarified the issue with my bill in minutes. I really do strongly recommend Foxglove/Outfox

I have been with Foxglove Energy for about a year now and have no intention of changing. I spoke to Nadeem today after only a short wait on the line. He was very helpful and friendly and the job was done. It costs nothing to be nice and just made the whole experience much more pleasant. "Billing issue resolved by online chat"

I had a billing issue as my last two months bills ahd been calculated on estimates despite my submission of meter readings. I had an on line chat with both SAM & NADEEM. This service was instant and the matter was resolved in a few minutes. I had submitted my meter readings a couple of days too late. (my error) They then recalculated my bill and credited my accound appropriately. This has given me confidence in FOXGLOVE customer service and I recommend the on-line chat system. Thank you SAM & NADEEM

"Perfect service"

The contact service is odd but works brilliantly. Within 3 minutes, Nadeem had resolved what could have been a very complicated situation. Fantastic service where chatting with a human being completely avoided the usual pitfalls. Outstanding value too, bravo.
