I contacted by webchat today as Martin Lewis last night suggested fixing utility bills. I spoke to Sam and asked as I have been a customer for several years now if I would be better off If I fix but keeping the fact that I pay quarterly on receipt of the bill. Which I have done promptly direct through the bank.
I was told no this was not possible I could only stay on the tariff I am on at present if I want to pay quarterly
Other companies such as Ebico does allow fixing and to pay quarterly however there customer service rating is terrible looking on Trustpilot
I feel as a loyal customer who has promoted this company to friends and family that I am being discriminated against for the fact I will not and cannot afford to do direct debit.
I have found this company to give excellent service throughout but now feel I may have to look elsewhere due to this discrimination.
I will be interested in how Foxglove energy responds to this.

I was very happy with the call I received - it was in stark contrast to the difficulty I have had in contacting my previous (in fact,not-yet-switched) supplier, (although their staff were always helpful if once they could be reached) I was impressed with the rate and probable direct debit amount quoted (this cannot be finally established as the whole heating system will be changed in the near future) and I look forward to dealing with Foxglove in future.
