"Avoid this company!!!"

Avoid this company! I ordered a product that was handed to them 9 days ago, and it still hasn’t been delivered by GLS. I called their customer service and had to wait 15 minutes to speak to an agent, who wasn’t helpful at all. They just repeated the same information I can already see on the online tracking.

"This company is a joke to deal with"

This company is a joke. Ordered a product that was given to them 10 days ago and still hasn’t been delivered by GLS, joke of a company. Rang them numerous times each time waiting over an hour on hold as there is a long queue of people trying to contact them. Emailed and just a generic reply but no helpful information. Never use this company

"Horrible company to deal with"

Horrible company to deal with
Where to start!
I appreciate all companies, especially transport companies are hectic in the December period but GLS have been a shambles. Also I appreciate the Hollyhead fiasco has added lenghty lead times but my main gripe is 1) the lack of infomration available via tracking link, 2) How long it takes for an answer via mail or phone and 3) when you evnetually get a response it is the most vague useless response. When further questioned you are just ignored! Going on 20 days now and no updates at all

"Where do I even start"

Where do I even start. Have been in contact about my parcel multiple times over the past 2 weeks. They had my item since 19th December (not impacted by the storm) and it was apparently out for delivery since 21st December which was the only thing I kept being told whenever I called them. Emailed them 23rd no help yet again called on Christmas Eve (present for my child) and was told driver had it there's nothing I could do as they couldn't make contact and they will close by 12
midday. Fast forward post Christmas morning trauma and contacted them again once reopened, still no joy. Called on 30th December to be told my package was given to an outsourced delivery company on 24th December. Today 2nd January call again as still no parcel, and am told I need to contact merchant to make a claim as they delivered my parcel to the wrong address, yet there app still says out for delivery since the 21st December. Overall I have had nothing but headaches and no definitive answer until this morning despite spending the majority of 2hours either being on hold, chatting with someone who could give me no clarity on my package and emailing them awaiting responses. Now I have to deal with the merchant even though the shipping company LOST my item which will be more time stress and headaches. If I could give negative stars I would.

"Terrible experience with this company"

Terrible experience with this company. Expensive item went missing despite being notified by email iit had been delivered to my address. It had actually been delivered somewhere completely different, customer service were useless and it ended up being left outside my door a couple of days later, presumably by the people to whom it had been incorrectly delivered as I heard no more from GLS.

I was actually in a shop a couple of weeks later and heard a shop assistant advise a customer not to order the product she wanted on line as the shop uses GLS to deliver and they were useless.

How this company is still in business I do not know. The reviews on here are almost universally bad.

"If it was possible to give 0 I would"

If it was possible to give 0 I would. GLS is Nothing but bad news. 4 delivery's this year 4 problems. Customer care is awful. Parcel is at a depot 15 minutes from my house 2 days before Christmas. They work until 12 today(Xmas eve) and have informed me that it won't be sent out until the new year and I can't collect it myself. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

"I have never dealt with a more…"

I have never dealt with a more unhelpful transport company. Offered no help with my tracking. Called them twice in 2 weeks to try locate a parcel. They couldn't care less. Don't think the people on the phone realised that their job is to actually deliver parcels. I buy everything online and never had any issues with the courier companies. These are a joke.

"Not recommended - especially for disabled and elderly"

Just another one star review, I am quite loyal to a company that uses GLS among other couriers and I've just emailed them telling them that unfortunately I won't be giving them any more business if they use gls for my orders. They told me via email earlier my parcel is "marked as delivered" and told me Merry Christmas which was a little bit cheeky to be honest. It hasn't been delivered, but even if it was, I have never gotten a single text from GLS. I have gotten emails about deliveries being successful, but hours later after the delivery. This is a nightmare for people living in apartments- i have to go downstairs every hour to check has it been delivered in case it gets stolen. I am a wheelchair user learning to walk again, meaning my body is really tired and sore and I need to be in bed for a few days after my physio, but I keep having to go down and check as the tracking updates hours later, so even when I deliver it to a house, the package is sitting in the porch for hours without as much as a ring on the doorbell, meaning it can be stolen. It's just a really bad service and i can't fathom why it's so popular. This was the last straw, their rating is visible first thing on google of a 1.8 stars so they know how bad the customer experience is but they are not improving it at all. I would only ever use GLS now if it was my literal only option for an obscure item i couldn't get anywhere else. I would not trust GLS with a package over 50 euro if I were to be honest.

"Company is an absolute disgrace"

Company is an absolute disgrace, drivers signing for deliveries when the signature is required by the recipient, bulk scanning deliveries 7km away from delivery point & not making the delivery, drivers not contacting recipients, customer service is a disgrace

"Unreliable Avoid "

GLS have my parcel 6 days in the Depot, My package came from Northern Ireland and there was no travel disruption to my item. It gave me notifications saying it was out for delivery three days in a row. I rang on the third day as it said “parcel damaged”followed by an update later of “consignee not at home” while I was on the phone to a GLS agent still waiting for the parcel at home. I rang today (Day 6) to try collect my parcel from the depot at 9.00am when the customer line was open but my package is now out AGAIN for delivery. I have never experienced such a bad courier service!
