Purchased a tech suit that was clearly defective - split down the middle. Sent picture to Metro Swim shop and was offered a ridiculous 15% discount on a new purchase. Metro Swim shop has seen the last dollar from me. I will gladly tell everyone about our experience here.

I had a horrible customer service experience a couple of years trying to return an *unused* championship suit. For some reason, I thought I'd try them out again last month. I needed a racing suit for a specific meet (not a team order, but an individual account). I selected USPS Priority Mail for the shipping method. But the suit didn't come by the 2-3 business days that it should have. I checked my order online and the suit was sent UPS Ground (!!!). I called Metro and got a man, who cut me off and said the shipping offerings on the website are only for group sales. I said the pull-down menu online is not using the correct shipping method. He HUNG UP on me. I called back and got no answer. I wrote an email to complain. NO response was made to my concerns. The suit arrived 3 days after the swim meet. Thank goodness I also had ordered the suit from SwimOutlet (in another size that worked out okay). That one came on time, of course. Metro Swim Shop is truly a horrible business to work with. Avoid at all costs. They are rude and unhelpful. They do not care about their customers, and they will take your money without any concern about meeting their side of the deal.

"Ordered an item and had to ship back…"
Ordered an item and had to ship back for a size exchange. Called for specific instructions twice before returning the item, order was received by Metro Swim Shop and no one followed up. I sent emails but did not receive any feedback. Finally, called after two weeks only to find out that they do not have the size I needed. Poor customer service. Don't waste your time and shipping costs, shop elsewhere. I wish I read the reviews prior to making a purchase.

Poorest customer service I have ever experienced (VINCENT?).
I ordered a champion suit in August and needed to exchange it for a different size. I immediately returned the suit and it was back in their hands the next day. 15 days later I am still trying to a get a response where my new suit is? I sent emails, I placed calls, I was told I'd receive communication that it shipped from TYR. And still nothing but ignored. I am out $410!!! And have spent way too much time and energy trying to get a suit. Still waiting.....

"False Advertisement??"
Let me preface this review by saying we've bought techsuits from Metro Swim Shop in the past without problem. This time, it was different. Unfortunately, we found out competition drives companies like Metro Swim Shop to do things that aren't right and flat out unethical. IF ON A TIME CRUNCH, BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING A TECHSUIT FROM THEM AT AN ADVERTISED SALES PRICE. We found out the hard way just recently during championship season.
Our daughter's techsuit ripped during LSC Champs and we desperately needed a new one before State Champs. So, we ordered a techsuit from Metro and paid with a credit card. A week went by and we still didn't have the suit we thought had been shipped. We called to check on our order. To our dismay, they said they didn't have the suit in stock...even though they were still advertising on their website that they had 5+. In our conversation with them, we found out they don't always have in stock what they advertise. Sometimes they sell it first, then try to fill the order with a third-party vendor. If it costs them more than what you paid, they'll cancel your order without notification and expect you accept "sorry, have a nice day" as sufficient when you call to check on it. Problems for us and likely all other parents are (1) we didn't have a week to spare and (2) we missed out on a promotion Swim Outlet was running.
BUYER BEWARE WHEN TRANSACTING WITH METRO SWIM SHOP.

Read the reviews. Really. This is a pretty sketchy retailer. Their web site should be a clue - it's hard to navigate and poorly designed. My order looked fine once I finally got it together. I used a holiday coupon they promoted. My order showed the discount on all items. Once my order processed (days later), the discount was only applied to one item. This was COMPLETELY different than my original order showed. I tried to contact "customer service", but NEVER had any response at all. It was only a few dollars difference, so it's not worth more of my time to keep trying to fight it.

"Do not expect this retailer to stand…"
Do not expect this retailer to stand behind what they sell. I ordered a pair of Speedo swim goggles from Metro Swim Shop on May 16, 2018. It is now June 30, 2018. The goggles began to leak around the eyepiece within the first few wearings. I was delayed until today in contacting the seller regarding a refund or replacement due to work commitments. The response back from the company: "Metro Swim Shop Online has closed the return request listed below. Reason for the closure of your request: Expiration of returns period." So, a product that should last at least 6 months (my last pair, not purchased from Metro Swim Shop, lasted over a year), is considered beyond the "expiration of returns period." No sense on the part of Metro Swim Shop that they should offer a replacement or even an apology. I will share Metro Swim Shop's lack of respect for its customers with others.

"Defective Product"
I ordered a speedo lzr racer x and did not receive what I expected. The suit was obviously used and the straps snapped after a single use. This is an inconvenience because I was supposed to use this suit for state and was not even able to use it.

"NEVER order form this company unless …"
NEVER order form this company unless you want to be ripped off. I placed my order on 1/20/18 I called today on 2/1/18 and was told ALL the items I purchased were out of stock. I was then told that I had been sent and e-mail saying the items were out of stock on 1/25/18 - I NEVER received any e-mail stating that. I was also told my card was not charged and that because I ordered on a Saturday they would not notify me of the out of stock items. I asked why the items did not show up on the site out of stock and the person I spoke to - who I could barely understand said he did not know. They were rude and made NO attempt to help me order something else or make anything right. Now I will have to dispute the charge on my card. They need to spend more time training their warehouse/internet staff - and stop sending out all the annoying emails that will probably never happen anyway. I order online all the time an I can say this was one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Get you act together Metro Swim Shop. Whoever is answering your phones needs to be trained or fired. I would rather drive 30 miles to get what I need than ever order anything from this company.

Buyers Beware. This company will rip you off. Do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere.
They have no customer service skills.
The website does not work properly.
They advertise and sell items which are not in stock and don't bother to inform you.
They don't inform you of the postage charge when completing online orders and their rates are extortionate.
