"Deceptive company"

I canceled my service within the 3 day cancellation period but they still charged a deposit. Now they say it will take 60 days to get my deposit back. I’m pretty sure all the high rated reviews on this site are fake.

DO NOT use this company for moving your belongings. This is a moving broker and will sell your contract to the lowest bidding moving company. These moving companies will not take care of you or your belongings. They will sell you lies about being veteran-owned and how much they care about you and your move. They will give you a low bid and then turn around the day before the move and tell you you need to upgrade your space. The communication is poor unless you initiate it and the people on the phone after the initial call are very rude and condescending. They will break the contract several times and then blame you. You won't get your money back and they won't pick up your stuff. You are left holding the bag and out several thousand dollars. Find another, more reputable company, even if it costs more. Don't trust this company to take care of you, your move, or your belongings.

"Don't deserve any stars"

Should be zero starts or negative. This company sure seemed nice on the phone but it is a broker company that makes a lot of false promises and does not give all the information nor does it follow up on phone calls to confirm your amount of stuff so you end up getting charged more when the moving company arrives and sees your stuff. They hire out terrible moving companies (Oasis Moving, Las Vegas) who take very long to move your items, will let your items sit in their storage unit for weeks/months, charge you extra money every way they can (and you have to pay or you don't get your stuff), damage many items by being careless/reckless, OPEN AND GO THROUGH YOUR BOXES, and STEAL ITEMS of their choosing. Then neither Gold Standard or Oasis think they are responsible for any of it. TERRIBLE companies that should be put out of business for allowing people who trust their personal belongings with someone to be taken advantage of, lied to, extorted, and STOLEN from. DO NOT USE GOLD STANDARD OR OASIS MOVING!

DO NOT USE THEM! We found a better price and cancelled within the allotted window. We were promised a refund of the deposit within 2 weeks and it has been 3 MONTHS. I call every few weeks and can't even get a supervisor on the phone. RIP OFF

"STAY AWAY From F-Rated Gold Standard!"

They are RATED F on Better Business Bureau for a reason

- They gave a binding estimate and the movers charged us DOUBLE that amount once it was on the truck (which is illegal)

- They hired out movers that are rated D- on BBB, who cheated us out of our money. When we complained, Gold Standard essentially told us to stick it up our ass

- They gave us incorrect information throughout the process, including price, payment options, dates and times

- The movers were late for pick-up, and weeks late on delivery

- The movers extorted us out of a specific, gigantic tip once our possessions were on the truck

- Half of our furniture was damaged during the move

Please, whatever you do, DO NOT USE GOLD STANDARD MOVING!

I cannot say enough good things about this moving company! They were fast and reliable. Not only were they kind, but they were also respectful to our furniture. Honestly, I could not have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend Gold Standard Moving!

"Bait and Switch"

I contracted with this company this company to move items from Arkansas to Tennessee. I gave them detailed description (including measurements) of the items I needed moved moved. they were all large items -an entertainment center, a piano, a China hutch, 3 dressers, 2 full sized beds, 2 rocking chairs plus 50 boxes. They gave me an estimate of 780sq ft and based the price on that. When they showed up I was now told it was 1200 Sq ft of space and I had to pay an additional $1,500. When I called the company to ask how they could be 400 Sq ft off when I gave them detailed measurements of all the items I was told that they based their estimate on the ability to stack the items and that because i had "bulky" items the mover was not able to properly stack them. I understand this is a common practice they use to increase the amount of money the actual mover gets! I paid up front $1490 ...that money went to gold coast...then 1/2 of remaining balance "cash" of $1,100 went to mover at arrival and final 1/2 of $1100 when items were delivered again "cash" to actual mover. Now I owe an additional $1550 cash to actual mover upon delivery. How can a company be more than 1/2 off on their Sq footage in their estimate??? You have no choice but to pay and they suddenly need more cash to move your items! To add insult the storage unit they moved it into was a 15 x 10 x 8...... and it didn't even fill it up!

LIARS, THIEVES, & CHEATS. Gold Standard Movers misrepresented themselves as a mover, extorted us for twice the $$ estimate we agreed on, moved our delivery date multiple times with no communication, and delivered our items late and damaged.

We scheduled a late August interstate move and were given an estimate of just over $1,200. We were told payment methods of cash, personal check, or cashiers check were acceptable. We confirmed our pickup date and payment methods one week before the move. The day of the move, AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COMPANY they contracted arrived to do the work. They were 3 hours late with no explanation or communication and did not have our estimate or delivery information. They insisted on a new contract AND cash only payment of over $2400 — including charges for packing tape, padded blankets, walking 1 item down 1 flight of stairs, parking, and a mandatory $200 tip. That's more than double our binding estimate. When we asked about the charges they didn't explain or even give us a Bill of Lading. We paid the cash because we wanted our items to be safe, and went to Gold Standard for help. They told us we should have known that the estimate wasn't binding, cash was the only acceptable payment method, and that we should have known they were a broker who hired other companies. ALL 3 OF THOSE PIECES OF INFORMATION ARE FALSE given our previous conversation with them. After no additional responses despite repeated follow-up on our part, we received our items 3 weeks late and damaged.

If you want your items handled correctly, use another company.

I ended up paying almost $15,000 after a "guaranteed" quote of $3,200, they DESTROYED, lost, or outright stole almost half of my stuff, and it was delivered THREE MONTHS LATE. They must spend all of their money on marketing. They pretend they have no responsibility over the movers they hand your stuff to. These brokers are criminals. DO NOT TRUST POSITIVE REVIEWS!
