"Gold Standard Moving and Storage…"

Gold Standard Moving and Storage cancelled my move on July 16, 2021 because they didn't have trucks to conduct the move. I only found out because they never showed up to pick up my belongings. They did, however, keep my deposit of $1,200 despite agreeing to their own terms of 9-12 business days. I have called numerous times, filed complaints, etc., and I still have not received my refund of $1,200.00 DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!!! It's been THREE MONTHS and they have commited theft at this point, by appropriating my money to their own use. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We used Gold Standard Moving for the first time about a week ago. I'm glad we did. These guys were speedy, cautious and overall pleasant to deal with. They wrapped several pieces of furniture in blankets. They made sure everything was well secured on the track before they started to drive to the destination. Would use them with our next move. Easy five stars here!

Gold Standard Moving are beyond 5-star!! These guys ROCK! They have always stepped up to whatever challenge -- multiple stops/addresses/drop-offs/pickups, and bulky furniture and steep stairs. You name it!

"Gold Standard is terrible"

Gold Standard is terrible. Quick to take your money and then to do nothing. Items were to be picked up 9/27 (paid 9/22). As of 10/8 still not picked up. Everyday promised a call back from them and the carrier. No calls. Had to pay another another month for storage because of them. Do not use them. They don’t care about you or your stuff.

"Nice Movers!"

Truly wonderful experience yesterday. They showed up right on time, worked efficiently and quickly, and were super friendly and respectful of our belongings. Over the past decade, I've moved a ton in the bay area with many different movers, and these are hands down the best movers I've worked with. I would highly recommend them!

"HORRIBLE! Beware!!"

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience so far! And we’re not even done. Communication is the absolute worst! They don’t give you any clue on when you will get your furniture delivered or what to expect. Even the Rep assigned to us, Zack Brown doesn’t return phone calls. He was so shady telling me if I wanna lock up this “Deal” then I better pull off the freeway and sign immediately. We’ll now he’s got my money (which nearly tripled!) and I’ve been a week sleeping on hardwood floors and still not knowing if I’ll ever get my furniture. I am supposed to start a new job on Monday but that’s in jeopardy now as nobody can tell me when I will get my stuff. BEWARE!!!

"VERY BAD PEOPLE"

Charged us an extra 5000$ halfway through moving. Lied at every turn re when they were coming, 2 weeks extra at each end. Thought we would never see our stuff. Never wrapped our furniture. Road-To-Load mover they hired were in kahoots with them. Mafia my guess. Oh..and pics later showed they had their licence plates painted over. VERY BAD PEOPLE.

"SCAMMING BROKER WHO TAKES YOUR MONEY AND DOESNT CARE"

I wanted to believe that this company was going to do right. I dealt with a sales woman named Sara. I gave her everything that I had for the move. She quoted me for a 2.86 Cubic ft space. This was my first move, when I did a google before calling, I didnt think that this company was a broker. Sara then quoted me about a 2500 dollar price quote and I said it was to high. After placing me on several holds she indicated that she could do lower to 1800 and all I had to do was put a 750 dollar deposit to reserve the moving date.

When I got off the phone, I googled the company again and after deep diving into this, I realized instantly I made a mistake. I checked BBB 1 star, I checked yelp 1 star. I immediately texted sara and said I need to cancel this, she said oh well those bad reviews you see are from another company gold standard moving who is trying to use our name and that is where the bad reviews come from. So I was gullible and decided to stay with the move just do it.

Fast forward to the day of the move, the movers were 3.5 hours late. When I called gold standard they said that the timeframe of 9am-1pm was just an estimate and that it wasn't guaranteed. Maybe you should tell your customers that to begin with? or maybe not. Shady practices.
The movers finally arrive and look at all I had in my place that I already told Sara and got a quote for, that my space that was needed would be 4 cubic feet. Now the ironic thing about all this is that, I even had less stuff than what I was quoted.

I was told by sara, that they would pack up my tv for me and move my stuff. I was also told that they would have a credit card reader on them ( which im not that upset about). They proceeded to argue with me about the space on the truck and that my stuff wouldnt be 2.86 cubic ft.'

I gave in to the additional charge, they packed my stuff and when I signed the contract they said specifically in that contract " would a 75 ft truck fit in my complex" I signed and said yes.

Fast forward to today, when I receive my stuff. The movers came and it was of course a different company. They called my partner and said that they couldnt fit the truck in the complex and I said thats absurd, they sure can. We went to go meet the movers and upon arrival they were so rude and disgusting it made me even more mad with the whole ordeal. He said that he would need to call and rent a uhaul to take the stuff off the truck and put it in a uhual van to get it to me. The charge would be an additional 500 dollars. They also then offered another suggestion and asked if we had apick up truck, i said yes. so we called my brother in law and he came with a truck. The owner comes to me with the paperwork after my brother in law arrives and wants me to sign it. I said no i want my stuff delivered and I will pay you.. he refused and he said he wasnt delivering the stuff anyway the only thing he was doing was taking my stuff off the truck and loading it into the van. my family told me to just sign the paperwork and zelle them the money. Fine. The worker felt bad for us that was with the owner of the truck and decided to make several trips with my brother in law to move my stuff to my apartment.

my stuff isnt where it needs to be in my house. They were suppose to move my stuff to their respected areas of my house. Instead they forced me, my brother in law and 1 of the guys to help us get our stuff in.

The point im trying to make is...........

1. AVOID THIS MOVING COMPANY AT ALL COST. GOLD MOVING STANDARD AND STORAGE IS A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS. WHEN YOU CALL YOU ARE A DOLLAR SIGN TO THEM. THEY DONT CARE, THEY MISQUOTE YOU AND REFER YOU TO A BUNCH OF DISGUSTING MOVERS TO HANDLE YOUR STUFF.
2. NEVER EVER EVER EVER PAY FOR A MOVE WITH CASH. A REPUTABLE COMPANY WILL OFFER CREDIT CARDS.
3. WHEN YOU CHOOSE GOLD STANDARD MOVING AND STORAGE, THEY FOUND MERIT GREAT AMERICAN MOVERS THEN THIS MOVER FOUND SOMEONE ELSE TO FINISH THE MOVE, YOUR STUFF IS SHUFFLED AND IF YOU DONT LABEL YOUR STUFF WITH YOUR ADDRESS YOU ARE SCREWED.
4. MY STUFF WAS THROWN IN THERE, MY BOXES WERE ALL DAMAGED
5. I DONT KNOW WHY I HIRED THEM WHEN I HAD TO BASICALLY USE MY FAMILY TO MOVE, ALL THEY DID WAS TRANSPORT THE ITEMS THEN DEMAND A TIP?

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID...

Their sales team also will never respond or call you back and their customer service is atrocious.

If any of you that took the time to read this please please do your research and do not believe the positive reviews, they are staged.

This company needs to be shut down for good.

STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE, IM GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS GETS KNOWN.
